An 20 sided dice with embossed numbers. In Stainless Steel the dice weighs around 120 grams. This combined with the shine and coldness of the steel make an real impression.

@mrboli Not at this time. I haven't ordered any more versions of the dice, if I do I will add photos for sure.

@Jorlack Interesting thought. I'm aware of the opposite faces rule. There is also the even distribution of values so you don't have 20 and 19 next to each other. In any event I actually copied a 20 sided dice I owned rather than try and calculate the perfect distribution.

Looks good but its not game legal. Opposite faces should equal max die value +1 Thats why 1 is opposite of 20 and 10 is opposite of 11 (you do have those 2 sets right but the rest of your numbers are off.) Same formula applies to all dice. Or you can spiral the numbers around it in sequence for a life counter.

Yeah it does take a little practice to get it right but as long as you read the material guides re: wall thickness and minimum detail you should be pretty right. Good luck. :)

Interesting. Thanks for responding. I'm just getting started in this and I don't have extra cash to make a lot of test prototypes, so I'm trying to figure out how everything works so I'm not surprised by the results.

Yeah that's one of the changes they made. I'm not sure if they've gone back and rechecked models that were uploaded before the change. I actually ordered this in black plastic as well when I ordered the metal one. I cut the plastic one in half and it was solid though. I know the metal process is slightly different but I imagine the interior is full of material too.

Ah. I'm still a little confused, because I don't see any holes in the model. It's my understanding that a hollow model with no holes will get charged as if it was solid, because the material is trapped inside. Maybe it's different for metal, though.

It's designed to be hollow but the one I got printed is solid. I believe Shapeways have improved their algorithm for calculating mass now and it should actually print hollow now, hence the low cost shown.

I'm a little confused - you say the die masses about 120g in stainless steel, but that would imply a volume of 14.87cc, and a cost of 148.70 USD.
