Another one of my tank turret designs, although this one is even less original than the T-22. This is essentially a T-34-85 turret with a 122-mm gun. This is not the same as the IS-2 turret, which is wider and has a rear-facing ball-mounted machine gun like the KV-series tanks. In addition, this one has lights mounted on top, whereas the T-34 had lights mounted on the hull; lights should preferably not be right in front of any vulnerable area, since they present a nice target. This one has a centre-mounted cannon, but I may replace it with one that is offset to the right (the tank's right) to leave a little more access room around the commander's hatch.

My apologies to anyone who has ordered this in sandstone. I have personally operated the sandstone machines (Zcorp 3D printers), and I can tell you that only when impregnated with epoxy do the parts have any flexibility. Shapeways impregnates sandstone parts with cyanoacrylate, which makes for brighter colours but more fragile parts - a sandstone turret with my spring clip design would break if you tried to install it in one of my model tank hulls.
