Mother in Chains

"Mother in Chains" is a metaphor for how we are incarcerating the natural world with pollution and industry. We keep Mother Nature shackled away from our own sense of modernity. The chains on the piece also serve as a reminder of how we too are chained to nature and we are foolish to take this symbiotic relationship for granted. "Mother in Chains" is 3d printed in white polyamide adorned with fresh water pearls and resin chains.
