Patrol Airship of the U.S. Navy's K class, which in World War 2 were used as convoy escorts and anti-submarine spotters. K Ships were the first non-rigid airships to cross the Atlantic when the 14th Squadron were ordered to French Morocco to take up anti-submarine duties across the Straits of Gibralter. A total of 135 K Ships were built.
NOTE: this is the "landed" version of the model with a 1.5mm dia. mounting spigot for base mounting.
The Nose Cone is printed at the end of the spigot and simply has to be clipped off and pushed into position. **The Mobile Mooring Mast is a separate item and has to be ordered separately**.
