DJI Phantom transmitter Pitch Control Lever.

The DJI Phantom transmitter is equipped with a (hidden) seventh channel add the back of your transmitter that you can use to control your pitch (X1) position of your camera gimbal.

With this simple Pitch Control lever you can easily adjust your pitch position while flying with your Phantom. The control lever is attached add the back of your phantom transmitter with thin double sided tape (I recommend 0,15mm double sided tape from Tesa or 3M).

Main product Features:
  • One piece design
  • Turn stoppers (against potentiometer stress and wear and tear when turning to far)
  • Easy installation
  • Is made of the material Strong and Flexible (available in six colors)

    • !See video and photos above for an impression and building instructions.
(See also this video from Arthur's Channel)

    Package contents includes:
  • 1 - 3D printed Pitch Control lever (In the color you ordered)

  • Not included but required:
  • Thin double sided tape (I recommend 0,15mm double sided tape from Tesa or 3M)

  • Additional comments:
    • If you decide to go for the color white, than keep in mind that this color can become discolored over time (sun, dirt, touch etc.).
    • Because of the not constant 3d printing margins with this material it is possible that you have to remove some material from the axis / shaft with some fine grain sandpaper to make it fit.
    • By removing some material from the axis / shaft you can also determine the resistance of the lever, in other words how easy or not easy the lever can rotate to your own desired preference.

In some cases, the potentiometer in the transmitter is not well-soldered and is skewed or not straight installed in the middle of the transmitter shell X1 hole. In those cases the (X1) pitch control lever will not fit (properly). You can solve this by re-soldering / bend the potentiometer, this is at your own risk! Before purchasing this upgrade please check if the potentiometer is properly centered / aligned (with a flashlight) in de transmitter shell X1 hole.

Hi. I got the Pitch control last week. I mounted on RC for Phantom 2 Vision+. But, after 1 day use, the pitch control is out of + hole and now is in a bed shape (no + shape). I can not use it anymore. I think the material is soft for everyday use.

Just to be fair, I just realized that this feature will only work on the Phantom Vision Plus if the app isn't running. DJI needs to remedy this.

I have the new Phantom Vision Plus and it worked great. I used Scotch Permanent Double Sided Tape, which is thin, to mount it. The funny thing is that there is an ongoing thread on the forums with most people saying that the gimbal potentiometer on the Vision Plus is not connected, and so this shouldn't work, but they are wrong.

Two questions before I buy: -How to take the original lever away to replace it with yours? -Can you tell me how to connect Tarot tilt to Phantom? With both answers I will get one :)

Price is reasonable for 3D-printed part. Carefully installed the assembly according to the instruction, after few 180-degree slowly turns, the lever was completely snapped off from the x-tipped shaft, just like it was neatly cut. Not sure if the level and the shaft were printed separately, and then glued together, or they were printed in one piece as it could be done via 3D printing. Anyway, have to drill a precise vertical hole and use a socket-cap M2 x 12mm screw to secure both pieces in place. In either case, a self-tapped hole should be provided to reinforce the lever assembly, should this be needed.

Not working. There is a gap between the lever and the base of the lever. So when it turns, the cross come out of the plug. Waste of money.

Got mine today. Works great for me just as "plug and play" as my Arris V5 2000 Gimbal, I am a happy camper, Thanks:)

Quality is not the greatest but it works. I installed mine and used a little super glue to hold it in place. It is a ok solution until DJI comes out with their own.

New upgrade! By adding turn stoppers to the lever this upgrade should eliminate wear and tear. On the old model this was mainly caused by the fact that you could force the lever further than that the potentiometer could, causing the wear and deforming of the cross structure. I also made the cross deeper and added more draft to the cross structure so it should fit better (see also the note in the description).

This item will not work. The philips head tip is too shallow to engage the screw of the Phantom pot. Also, the shaft/stem of this item is printed as oval shape, not round. Makes it almost impossible to insert through the hole on the back of the Phantom TX. Even after all that though, even if manufactured correctly, this item would still not work that well, if at all. Double sided tape to hold the item in place??? When you turn the lever, the tip would disengage from the pot screw as the play between the lever and the little plastic plate is inadequate to hold the item in place. Just a complete waste of time and money. Avoid!

"the cross end won't fit into the X1 pot. It's like the whole thing is just a touch oversize..." I'm having this same problem.... It seems that the cross end for the X1 pot could be a bit more pronounced to make fitting more reliable. Sadly I will have to request a refund and just wait for the DJI part... Shame because I really needed this for a shoot this weekend.

I got my lever yesterday. First I recognized that the part doesn´t match the advertised picture. The shaft got some holes (in the design!). So it was no surprise that it broke during installation. The black material even locks very brittle. Please send WHITE replacement. Hope it works then.

I got my print in the mail. I really don't think this granular plastic is a good material for the part. In the rendering, it looks like slick, hard plastic, but the actual material is very granular, it even comes off on your hands. The piece seems extremely fragile and I have seen images of this plastic breaking off in the X1 pot, rendering the channel completely useless. I'm not even going to try to use this, out of that fear. Really, the material doesn't fit the purpose, even if the piece is geometrically correct.

I got mine, but it doesn't quite fit. It won't fit through the hole, and the cross end won't fit into the X1 pot. It's like the whole thing is just a touch oversize... what are my refund options?

@karagos Because it’s a one peace design with movable parts I want to make sure that every time some one orders this product it will be printed correctly by shapeways. So I’m awaiting shapeways approval that they can, I'm expecting to offer this product at the end of this week.
