Rygo 3d printed Sculptures Mathematical Art A Maxwell render.
A Maxwell render.
Choose Material
  • White

White nylon plastic polished to reveal a smooth matte finish.

A delightful surface: the gyroid put through a simple inverse transformation. It's ellipsoidal on the outside, and there is a sphere taken out of the center, which is difficult to see; for otherwise it would be infinitely tiny inside, and therefore unprintable.

I love the Rygo in all sizes! Pendant in pure stainless steel was from Bathsheba's site (not sure it's still available ); Larger one is nickel plated Stainless from Shapeways. I've bought several sculptures from Bathsheba over the years - they are all great, but this is one of my favourites.

@soundaround, Rhinoceros mostly. This one used some math stuff and some homebrew scripts too.

How much would it be at 15cm? fascinating shape

Then again, at that size it'd cost like $400 in WSF. Not sure I'm seeing a market? Here's a really big one...http://www.dshape.ca/rygo/
