AlmaguerA8Shapeways Sculpture Pendant

Piece that I modeled for a client. He is a sculptor with a fine sense for design but computer illiterate. He wanted me to have one of his sculptures converted in a pieces of jewelery for display and to gve as souvenir to his clients, etc. Originally he wanted them in silver. But his piece would not lend well for silicone mold and lost wax, and fabricating would be time consuming and more expensive. I told him that digital sculpting will give him more choices, like printing in different. sizes and materials.. He designed the piece in a thick paper. by cutting and gluing. Fro that 3d model I recreated it by using Blender 3D. Converted it to STL. Shapeways printed it for me and my fcustomer was so happy with the result that he is going to order more.. This piece at this size is printable only in stainless steel. I will post some pictures of the actual print which always comes different to the computer generated image. Actually the mat finish and grainy texture is an interesting addition to the design..This piece is not actually for sale since it is just for my client use. I am giong to order one for myself and He will sign it by hand for me. I bet he will use a dremel for that. I just found a drawing that my client made I will post the pictures soon.
