This is a precise model of my Wild T3 surveying instrument. The upper and lower motions and all knobs are designed to turn.
The bearing surfaces are large for a FUD print and do require some TLC to get motion. When FUD is printed it is within a wax medium and some of the wax will be in the gaps for the bearings, keeping them from working. Larger bearings have to be heated so the wax melts, but, not the print. I do this in a heated ultrasound device. Boiling water is too hot. Once the wax is melted, I place the print in isopropyl alcohol and work the motion to rid the print of the wax.
This is an accurate model and it has been designed with working parts. Due to inconsistent printing not all models will function and this should be viewed as a model only.
