Detail plastic is an acrylic-based photopolymer that comes in white, black and transparent. We recommend using this material for smaller, detailed products that don't face high stress or heat. The level of detail for these products is high, but individual layers are more visible than in Strong & Flexible plastics.
This material is watertight, not dishwasher safe, not recyclable, and not food safe. It is heatproof to 48C/118.4F degrees. Higher temperatures may significantly change material properties.

Top Design Tips
- 1 Ensure your model can be cleaned - Hard to clean models will be rejected, here's why. During printing, the cavities in your model will be supported by a waxy material which must then be removed before we ship it. While a good deal of this material comes off without any issues, the rest must be scraped away manually with a scalpel.
- 2 Transparent Detail is translucent, but can be clearer when polished - The Transparent Detail will actually arrive with a translucent finish. With hand polishing, however, a yellow transparency can be achieved. Please note, this material is brittle so the thinner you make the model, the more difficult it will be to polish without breaking your model.
