Using 3D printing we enable our users to design, personalize, buy and sell their custom-made products (puzzles, gadgets, trains, jewelry, art, etc). Here at Shapeways, we have an army of 3D printers, and we need you to wrangle the software that runs them

About the Position

We’re looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join our growing engineering team and ensure the quality of our releases and production environment. We are driven technologists who possess a blend of business savvy, product intuition, and pro coding skills. We run a LAMP stack for our production web properties, and have Java, Python, MySQL, SOLR, and other technologies in our back-office and supply chain tools.

About You

You exude quality and velocity. You’re a self-motivated, detailed-oriented engineer with excellent time management skills. Above all, you’re a team player who thrives in a startup environment where there are many changes and challenges.

This is not a traditional QA position, but a software engineering role with a focus on ensuring quality. You love to code. You are driven to find the best tools for the job and are open to researching and adopting new technologies. You are familiar with all flavors of testing, version control, and have a successful track record of testing complex product specifications.

Daily Responsibilities

• Identify test cases and help fill gaps in product requirements
• Implement and maintain a framework for automated functional testing
• Manage bug tracking and reporting system
• Perform build and release management
• Lead bug triage and prioritization
