You will be responsible for Shapeways' administration and building a highly efficient finance & control department to support the rapid growth of Shapeways.
Financial Controller
Your job
In the position of Financial Controller, you will report to the CFO. Your tasks consist of handling all operational aspects of running a finance department and initiate cooperation on projects to streamline financial processes. You will enable many new product introductions with your financial support to your Marketing & Software development colleagues. As Shapeways grows, you will build a finance team around you that will take on the more operational tasks. It concerns a full time position.
Your key responsibilities
- General ledger accounting
- Sub ledger accounting (A/P, A/R, Fixed assets)
- Monitor & control interfaces (e.g. Web shop – Finance system)
- Purchase order process in relation to A/P - Cash management
- Managing the electronic banking system & transactions
- Prepare outgoing payment batches
- Customer order & payment reconciliation - (International) VAT administration
- Financial reporting and analysis
- Archiving
- Initiate / work on new product introductions like for instance new payment methods
- Cooperate with the Shapeways team to meet and exceed organizational targets
Your qualifications
- You have already carried out an all round bookkeeper role with a small business and enjoy variety and fast growth
- Masters degree business economics or / HBO finance diploma ((HEAO BE / BA / AC)
- 5+ years experience in administration
- Preferably experienced in the on-line administration system Twinfield
Your skills / abilities
- Accurate and methodical worker
- Independent and large sense of responsibility
- Comfortable working in a high energy start-up environment where change is inevitable
- Fluent in English, Dutch language is advantageous though not required
- Living close to Eindhoven, The Netherlands
- Affinity with 3D modeling and/or creative do-it-yourself consumers
