Changes from version 1.0 include a more minimalist design with less material and greater flexibility. This version is suited to hold 1-4 cards and some cash which are easily inserted and removed. The flexibility of the material as well as the tensioned design allow for a tight fit whether you decide to hold a single card or 4 cards & some cash.
Version 2.0 also allows you to engrave your wallet with your phone number. If you happen to lose your wallet containing your credit/debit/ID cards, returning it is as simple as making a call.

This ring is composed of a four-stranded braid. The strands have a pentagonal shape for a strong, angular look. I also offer a five-stranded version.
This design is printable in any of the plastic and metal materials. But be aware that the stainless steel-based materials (stainless steel, gold plated, and antique bronze) have a somewhat rough, pitted surface that tends to obscure the details of this design a bit.
Please specify the ring size (US/Canada) when ordering. The design shown above is size 8. If you are unsure of your size, you may wish to first order the ring in one of the strong and flexible plastic materials to try it on.
If you do not have an account with Shapeways already, you will have to create one to place an order, but it only takes a few seconds!
I started experimenting with braid designs to make a wedding band and matching bracelets for my fiancée. (And you can see the bracelets and a variation on the band in my shop as well.) I kept playing with the braid design, and it turns out that you get something pretty cool if you space the strands of the braid enough that they no longer intersect. This bracelet is made of a braid of nine strands woven through each other. Printed in nylon (the 'strong and flexible' materials), the separate but interlocked strands make the bracelet a bit stretchy and bouncy.
Please select a size when ordering. The lengths listed are the inside circumference of the bracelet in its relaxed state. They stretch a bit, which makes it easier to get your hand through them. If you would like a size other than the ones listed, just choose 'other/custom' and tell me what size you would like in the 'special instructions' window. You do have to create an account with Shapeways to place an order, but it only takes a few seconds!
Note: I have only printed this design in the 'strong and flexible' plastic materials. It also meets the design rules for the detail plastics materials, but I don't know how flexible or how delicate the bracelets are when printed in them. I think they would look pretty cool printed in the transparent detail plastics, but they might not be suitable to wear.
This is the standard design of the IC pen which you can fit with your logo and text. If you might want another configuration, for example two logos, or text on both sides. Please send me an email and I can create your custom design.

Which size?
Take a piece of string or measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of your hand, as if putting on a bracelet. See example photo above.
Mark where it overlaps and measure the distance between the marks in cm.
For inches to cm -> multiply by 2.54.
Enter this cm value in the Inner Length field.

Remove Label
To aid in production and sorting the model will be labeled with a ring with info. You can cut of this ring with a strong pair of cutters/scissors.

Custom Dog Tags (Trapped Wax)
Have any text you want printed inside this clear dog tag by taking advantage of the wax support material. I have made the print available in Frosted Detail and Frosted Ultra Detail. But I would strongly recommend that you choose Frosted Ultra Frosted
You could print your name, number or a special message. Then use it as a key ring or pendant.
I am personally using one with my name and phone number as a key ring.
You can choose up to 3 lines with a maximum of 12 characters on each line.
NOTE: I can produce models with more than 12 characters per line but I cannot guarantee that they will print correctly. If you would like me to try more than 12 characters per line please contact me before ordering.

Vintage-look:
Fill up a glass with bleach. Put your ring into the bleach and wait until it gets all over dark. Please take care and don't get it into your eyes!!
