A Merkaba, 9cm from tip to tip. (That's about 3 1/2", for us groundlings.)

From above, a classic Egyptian scarab; from below, a real scarab.

The scarab is in a typical defensive posture, legs folded. As a result, it presents a strikingly different aspect when turned over.

This model is scaled to fit well in the hand, and because of the folded posture, is robust enough to travel well in a pocket. Mine goes with me everywhere. Warning: the claws are as sharp as they look.

I've seen enough to know where this is going...oh, just kidding.  It's a rhombic dodecahedron.  With an exotic symmetry group.  That's all.  Really.

An ornament in the shape of a tree, with some of the roots creating a garland around it. This ornament can stand on a surface or be hung in a window, in a tree or on a door. The branches produce a beautiful pattern regardless of which angle you view it in. All the lines is flowing and come together in harmony. Please note that the "White Strong & Flexible" material will turn yellowish if you leave it in the sun. If you're going to hang it in a window, make sure it faces the side of the building with most shadow.

This is a large somewhat abstract version of a dandelion. It's very cool in person, and would probalby look very interesting with designer lighting placed on it. It's a great addition to a room for someone that has everything, becasue I'm sure they don't have this yet. Check it out on youTube as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mLc6lftEFE

I revised the Christmas Ornament RBS to have just a little more slope. I'm hoping it's enough to have the marble roll without problem. I added a few new things. This one has a circular base so that it should stand on its own. I also beefed up the frame to make it more durable. There's less rungs and a few more braces. I will have to print it and test it. If you just want one even though it hasn't been tested, please feel free to order but you're on your own. http://www.rollingballsculpture.net

You can see video of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUlLRtTp050

The design I'm trying to make is exactly twice as complex as this one. This stage of it seemed like a good place to pause for a breather.

This is part 1 of a snap-fit puzzle machine.  When you turn the knob, it generates fun!  This is the deluxe model, there's a smaller version here.

Here's all the parts:
+ + + + + + + +

I designed this for the SME Rapid 2011 trade show.  The STL files are available free for use (the show logos have been stripped).

Eierbecher means egg cup in German. This one is wrapping the egg in a very strudy Voroni structure.

A unique table setting. Check out the fitting napkin holder:

Order as White Strong and Flexible material which is dishwasher proof.

The Seed Of Life corset has a unique, segmented design, with moveable joints and hinges to enhance flexibility. A perfect fit requires a body scan (a service I can also provide if you do not have one). This bust represents the ancient King Polygon, system administrator of a country far far away. He was very appreciated by his fellas, because of his calm and kindness. Actually, his secret was a good amount of sleep.
But even as a nice king, he had to take care of many wars and conflicts. His biggest enemy was Lord Nurbs, who always wanted to make things complicated. The night before their last big combat, King Polygon fell asleep and never woke up.
Thus, this bust is dedicated to the brave King Polygon.
(and this is my entry for the Faces Contest!:)

This is the first interlocking cube I ever designed. It consists of four pieces which fit together with a series of sliding movements. It is not too difficult for the average puzzler but will provide a satisfying challenge at this small scale. The completed cube is 1.6cm on each side.

The Fire Gauntlet is an articulated hard-shelled glove, 3D printed all at once, fully assembled. The model is based on a 3D scan of my hand, with a 1.5mm clearance between the scanned surface and the printed model to allow for a Nomex cloth lining. Ideally the final design would be in stainless steel, but there are many challenges to making that happen. This prototype is a good start.

This version is only for display and is bonded to the production frame. It was printed using White Strong & Flexible material, painted and mounted on a wooden base.

This radiolaria-like object started out as a simple cube which has undergone several iterations of fractal subdivisions, each with a small amount of displacement applied. Next the edges between each point have been traced volumetrically and then smoothed in order to create this final form - the lattice representation of the original mesh.
