A detailed full color model of each of the planets, gas giants, and major moons of the Solar system, to (logrithmic) scale.
This set includes the 20 largest objects in the solar system (bar the sun).
All surfaces are reproduced from NASA imaging.

For size reference, Jupiter is 25mm (1 inch) diameter, and Earth is 12.76mm (1/2 inch) diameter.
(A photograph of some of the planet models can be seen on th page for this subset of planets. Photos of this full set coming soon.)
This set is designed for use in orrery or other models of the solar system, and so to best present all planets while preserving scale, the scale has been compressed - a logrithmic scale instead of a linear scale. This means that if the model of a moon of Jupiter is larger than the model of Mercury but smaller than Mars, then you know that the real moon really is larger than Mercury and smaller than Mars, But the size diference is compressed - Jupiter, which is really more than ten times Earth's diameter, becomes only twice Earth's diameter, etc. This logrithmic scale allows all planets to be clearly visible together, while at the same time still indicating their sizes relative to each other.

The set contains all planets, a dwarf planet, and eleven moons:
[In order of appearance in the photo above, right to left]
Mercury
Venus
Earth
 - Moon / Luna
Mars
Jupiter
 - Ganymede
 - Callisto*
 - Io
 - Europa (attempt no landing there)
Saturn
 - rings of Saturn
 - Titan
 - Rhea*
 - Iapetus*
 - Dione*
Neptune
 - Tritan**
Uranus
 - Titania*
Pluto**

All objects have a 1.6mm (1/16th inch) hole at the south pole, for a brass axle (or a toothpick).

What color is a planet - is it color of its surface materials, or the colour of its atmosphere from space, or the color of the surface being colored by the atmosphere filtering light from the sun? The appearance in this set attempts to be that of the surface with moderate atmospheric influence, (with the gas giants depicted as the atmosphere and surface being the same thing). For example, this means that Venus depicts the features of its surface, but they are tinted somewhat by its atmosphere. Similarly, Earth and Titan show ground features, but some areas are tinted and obscured by atmosphere.

In areas where the model surface is more detailed than the most detailed NASA photography (such as Pluto), the overall surface appearance conforms to what is known, but finer textural details are speculative. (Or, if there is an atmosphere, it is shown as particularly thick and opaque over the unmapped area.)

*Due to hard limitations of the Shapeways production, these minor moons are sharing the same surface map. They were chosen because they have a similar surface, and/or their surface is largely unknown.
**For the same reason, Pluto and Triton, which have a similar icy surface and not much photographic detail known, also share their surface map.
(The alternative was to not include those moons)

I've been a bit depressed that the tank i've been working on is to pricy to produce. But I got to thinking there is no reason why I couldn't make some other kind of vehicle I've always wanted to see on the table top. Well here we have my MK2 grav cycle. Its designed to fit in with existing bikes but be unique enough to stand out. I've scaled it to fit traditional "marines" Its price actually fell right where I expected it to, right near the cost of "Official" bikes. In future I'll have thin it down a bit to lower that cost and make a set of riding legs and arms for it so the Scythes of the Emperor can patrol in style. enjoy.

Powerful hand-held acid blaster rifle converts into a 56mm robot action figure with 9 points of articulation.

Gun mode comes with a choice of three handles, any of which can be glued in to the mounting point on the figure's back.
Option 1 is a standard 5mm post, which is compatible with any figure bearing a 5mm peg hole.
Option 2 is a modified version of the post, which can still be used by figures with 5mm peg holes, but also has a built-in clip which allows it to clip onto any 3mm diameter rail.
Option 3 is a two-stage post, which like Option 1, can fit into any 5mm peg hole, but also has a narrowed end allowing it to be used by figures with 4mm diameter peg holes.

Newly redesigned hands are able to hold or clip onto any 3mm diameter rod.
A new hinge design means  this figure is now available to be printed in the Detail materials as well as WSF. However, WSF Polished is recommended for the best combination of durability and smoothness.

Supplied as a 14-piece kit. Finishing (painting/dyeing) required, alternatively can be purchased in one of the available pre-dyed colours.

Check out my blog: http://dynath40k.blogspot.com/ In future a shelled version for printing in FUD. This is a series of Armor plates with a decorative patern. theres no real rim or reason for them. I made them so I can apply them to fantasy figures to make them a bit more scifi. Each plate is about 2.5mm thick and 5mm wide. Some curring and sanding will be required to fit them on a figure. Loosely speaking there is a a plate for upper and lower legs and arms, chest and waist. Enjoy.

This is a ring I created based on the ring worn by Guy Gardner when he briefly became a member of the Red Lantern Corps during the War of Light. The ring's face is large and bold, just like the character. Choose your size from the list below and it will be added to your cart. You can select your preferred material in the cart before checkout.

size 3 size 3.5 size 4 size 4.5 size 5
size 5.5 size 6 size 6.5 size 7 size 7.5
size 8 size 8.5 size 9 size 9.5 size 10
size 10.5 size 11 size 11.5 size 12 size 12.5
size 13 size 13.5 size 14 size 14.5 size 15

With the Shapeways Print-on-Demand service, you can order this ring in any size, in any material, at any time. Please note that, with the exception of the Full Color Sandstone material, the color, look, and feel of the ring is defined by the material you choose, not the model image.

This ring will be produced and delivered through Shapeways and it’s partners.

For questions regarding your order, please contact Shapeways through their contact page at shapeways.com/contact.

For questions regarding the design of this, or any of my other rings and models, feel free to send me private message. Also, if you have any ideas for new rings that you would like to see me design, please let me know.

Green Lantern, Red Lantern, Guy Gardner, and all related marks are trademarks of Warner Bros. and DC Comics.

Powerful hand-held acid blaster rifle converts into a 56mm robot action figure with 9 points of articulation.

Gun mode comes with a choice of three handles, any one of which can be fit onto the figure during assembly (and since they are attached via a simple clip-in hinge, you can keep the others handy and swap them later if you choose).
Option 1 is a standard 5mm post, which is compatible with any figure bearing a 5mm peg hole.
Options 2 and 3 are modified versions of the post, which can still be used by figures with 5mm peg holes, but also have built-in clips which allow them to clip onto any 3mm diameter rail. One version has the opening of the clip positioned parallel to the length of the gun, the other perpendicular.

Supplied as a 17-piece kit. Finishing (painting/dyeing) required, alternatively can be purchased in one of the available pre-dyed colours.

This is the ultimate sci fi spaceship ever created, This is the famed Discovery One, science exploration sleeper vessel. As it was seen in the 1968 film 2001 A Space Odyssey. This would make a perfect deep space exploration vessel for any solid scifi RPG. We are not sure how well this would be in FD or FUD. Those materials are very weak and breaks easily. We will allow FD & FUD materials to be selected by those that insist on it, but this was designed for WSF, because it's stronger & can be handled, making it perfect for gaming. Select FD & FUD at your own risk. -------------- ***Be sure to check for other items in my shop that go with this.***
