If M.C. Escher had owned fidget toys, he would have worn "One ring to rule the ball" as a pendant. A single, continuous line contains a small ball that makes orbit after mesmerizing orbit but cannot escape, always held down in four directions. Available in solid, durable stainless steel with optional antique bronze and gold plated finishes to fit any context, "One ring to rule the ball" now also includes a free rubber necklace so that you can confuse your mind any time the fancy strikes you! One customer echoes many others in saying, "I couldn't put it down. This thing is just too fun!"
Purchases by those gracious customers have now paid for the design time on this piece so it is available on a pay-what-you-want basis. Ordering from this page contributes 5$ towards continuing work such as the new, even more impossible "One ring to pwn the ball" (just released October 18th!) which can be found at http://www.shapeways.com/model/145172/one_ring_to_pwn_the_ball.html and the open-source "Ultimate Desk Toy" at http://www.shapeways.com/model/109166/ultimate_desk_toy.html . Update: Dremelfuge is now provisionally available in the "Strong and Flexible" material, after some basic testing. No guarantee of safety is given, as always. The "Strong & Flexible" material Dremelfuge creates more vibration in use, which may indicate less stability than the "Grey Robust" (ABS) material.
Caveat Emptor: As always, Dremelfuge is sold as an ornament, and any use as a tool is a risk entirely taken by the purchaser/user. I accept no responsibility for the safety of Dremelfuge.
DremelFuge is a centrifuge rotor for use with a rotary tool such as the popular "Dremel". As an Open-Source Hardware, DIYbio-inspired design it is intended to enable and inspire scientists world-wide.
At a rotary speed of 33,000rpm (the top speed for a standard Dremel 300), Dremelfuge can deliver up to 52,000g/rcf (1g = the force of Earth's gravity) on a sample in a standard 1.5ml microcentrifuge tube, measured halfway down the tube. This far exceeds the speeds typically used in lab protocols.
Dremelfuge can be used to collect bacteria, proteins, DNA or anything else suspended in a sample. Dremelfuge can be used to extract plasmids from cultures, to purify and cleanse DNA after enzymatic reactions, to remove precipitated impurities or for any other task calling for a powerful centrifuge.
It requires only the 5mm cutting tool holder that comes with the Dremel 300.
For safety reasons, Dremelfuge is sold as an ornament or curio; although demonstrated to be effective and reliable for routine lab tasks, use of Dremelfuge for any task other than as a decorative item is performed entirely at the risk of the buyer. It is suggested that all appropriate safety precautions be taken in such cases, including but not limited to eye protection.
The source files for Dremelfuge are hosted on Thingiverse here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1483
*** I have only tried the pen in the Strong & Flexible material. Feel free to try other materials, but do so at your own risk. I cannot guarantee they will turn out okay. ***

$1 from all sales goes to hurricane Sandy Relief
Both top and bottom parts are included in this model. Loads more info can be found on my website here; http://fusionweld.squarespace.com/blog/2012/3/8/raspberry-pi-custard.html. Spray it up yellow if you dare!
This is a mounting solution for attaching a Primesense Asus Xtion Pro or Asus Xtion Pro Live to a DSLR or other camera for hybrid depth sensor/HD video filmmaking. This mount is a part of the RGBDtoolkit project http://rgbdtoolkit.com
This mount is designed for use with a specific quick-release mechanism. Mountable on a standard 1/4-20 tripod mount, should have adequate clearance for normal tripods and larger video tripods.
Supplies needed:
Quick Release Adapter Set,1/4"-20 x 1/4 Brad Hole Tee Nut,
1” 1/4"-20 flat head countersunk screw,
1/4-20 nut
This design is a case for a spectrophotometer on an iPhone case. There are three pieces that need to be printed as part of the design. You can download the case here and you can find the other ones by going to my profile or through these links. Tube: http://shpws.me/dxSV Slide: http://shpws.me/dxm6 You can print the designs through Shapeways. It is relatively cheap and you aren't paying any expenses to me.
*****IMPORTANT*****
In order to have the complete spectrophotometer, you need to have the three pieces printed and you also need to buy a linear diffraction grating (1000 lines/mm). You can find very cheap diffraction gratings on sites like ebay or amazon. Just search for linear diffraction gratings 1000 lines/mm and the gratings should be 2" X 2".
It is easy to put together the 3 printed pieces and the diffraction grating. They all slide together and the iPhone case slips on right on top of an iPhone.
The complete case is very lightweight and is easy to use. I highly recommend using the black plastic material to make the printed pieces. This is so extraneous light doesn't make its way into the tube. Don't use any translucent building material.
With this case and diffraction grating you will be able to point the end of the case at any object and you will be able to see the spectral lines for the light being emitted or reflected off of that object. You can point it at a fluorescent light, for example, and see the spectral lines for the light being emitted. You can take pictures of the spectrum with the camera on your iPhone and use them for whatever you want. You could also use it as a colorful background picture.

This shopping-bag hook holds bags so they won't slide around the MINI's floor. It's also convenient for temporarily hanging small objects, keys, and drive-thru orders.
This attaches to the wire frame of the cup holder accessory, so it's compatible with MINI models that included a cup holder attached to the center stack:
Hardtop MINI Cooper (R50/R53) years 2002-2006
Convertible MINI Cooper (R52) years 2005-2008
A connection piece to be used between the oversize clamp and Busch & Müller Ixon Bicycle Headlights. It's modeled based on the original part, but the top is put on in reverse. See http://thorwil.wordpress.com/2012/02/25/3d-printing-to-the-rescue/ for details
This is a basic bezel to fit over the TimeSquared watch made by adafruit industries. The watch is excellent by itself, but the LED matrix that makes up the face has very sharp edges.
This is a fun 1/16 music note that can be used to decorate in a music room or anything musical. It has been tested for sturdiness and is quite robust in WSF.
For use in either handheld shooting scenarios where a tripod mount point is not needed or to attach to rail systems or camera rig, in which case you won’t need a QR adapter. If you are using this for the RGBDtoolkit workflow you will want to have a way to attach to a tripod for the purposes of calibration. Sensor: Primesense ASUS Xtion Pro & Xtion Pro Live Supplies needed: Quick Release Adapter Set, 1” 1/4-20 countersunk screw, 1/4-20 nut. This can easily be mounted on the hotshoe of your camera with a part like the 1/4"- 20 Tripod Screw to Hot Shoe Adapter.
Lock for running shoes speed laces. Laces through the round piece, wedge in, squeeze wedge to lock it in it's place. Remember to print a pair, one for each shoe!
White strong & flexible works, but is a little rough straight from the printer. It will wear out smoother quickly.
