The pencil is mightier than the sword. The original concept for this included having a selection of these miniature medieval designs vertically on a rack, with the hardness of the pencil written on each topper.

A small mobius strip charm that can be used as a pendant or as a keychain.

A mobius strip is a very unique shape because it defies conventional logic. It is a 3-dimensional object with only two faces. A single twist makes them flow from the outside to the inside and back again. Simple and elegant.

Magic Gears is a paradoxical set of three identical gears that can both mesh in the regular way and all in the same direction. It was inspired by this YouTube video by Jacques Maurel. Maurel writes: "The paradoxical 2 teeth gear set is used in the 'Mercier differential' (using the torque transfer technology) Patented in 1988 by Renault". Oskar's addition to the work is making Chevron Gears as invented by Andre Citroen. This way the three gears become identical and they can both mesh classically and paradoxically.

I have performed this Magic Gears "trick" to several friends, family and colleagues. I get two types of reactions: "wow" and "so what". Apparently, there exist people who are not aware how gears are supposed to mesh :-).

Watch the YouTube video.
Read at the Shapeways Forum.

The set is delivered as a DIY kit. You will have to add five M3x60 bolts yourself.

Build from a twelve-sided dodecahedron with TopMod, the pentagons are linked to triangles and back again forming continuous paths. The surfaces are shadowing each other resulting in very nice shadows.

To build a suspended lamp light bulb and socket has to be inserted trough a hole. Adapter ring for E27 bulb socket serves as fitting.

To build a table lamp take use of Starfish lamp stand with adapter ring.

This video shows how to assembly the light source.

Interlinked stars on a sphere clad in a Voroni hull.
Visually the complexity is puzzling.

See here for a larger version supporting more materials.

This first experiment yields an extremely flexible structure while maintaining a relativly high stability.

In the test print a few links broke, but the overall structure came out fine.
UPDATE: Modified to allow printability with new design rules.

The Kaleidoscope Clock is a two-part model for constructing a clock face. This is Part A of the model, the main frame of the clock. Part B is the background, numbers, and hands of the clock and is available at http://www.shapeways.com/model/580493

Each of the two parts of the clock is available in any of the Strong & Flexible colors, allowing you to create a clock face in the colors you prefer.

You will also need a clock movement. The kit is designed to be used with a high-torque clock movement available at http://www.clockparts.com/clock-part/high-torque-movement-aa-cell/

Part A of the kit is ready to use out of the bag. Part B is sprued and will need to be clipped apart with nail clippers or utility blade. Use a gel super glue to assemble the model. Don't use regular super glue as the Strong & Flexible material is porous and will absorb the glue. The gel variety of super glue does not soak into the material. Assemble the clock as follows:

1. Apply a tiny dab of gel super glue to the flange around each number and insert in the appropriate place on the frame of the clock face.

2. Apply a tiny dab of gel super glue to each of the intersection grooves on the background piece, line it up with the frame, and squeeze together momentarily at each intersection point. Err on the side of less glue.

3. Push the shaft of the clock movement through the hole in the frame, add the rubber and brass washers (included with the clock movement), and add and tighten the brass hex nut (also included with the movement).

4. (Optional) Apply an acrylic spray clearcoat to the assembled face and hands.

5. Push the hour hand onto the protruding white post on the clock movement. You don't need glue to attach the hour hand. It's designed to be snug.

6. Push the minute hand onto the brass post at the end of the movement and thread the brass cap nut (included with the clock movement) onto the post.

If you have any questions about construction of the clock after you receive Part A, Part B, and the clock movement, please contact me at chuck@madebywombat.com

This is a three-dimensional Union Jack.

After some light sanding the parts will fit together very snugly, without any need for glue.

I've colored this one with Sharpie brand permanent marker, which appears to work well and not transfer to the white parts of the model too much.

The same fit and function as the iPad 2 Wrap: Grid, except it's rocking a pattern I call Hexastar.

A custom pattern to make the backside of your iPad 2 a bit more interesting. The iPad 2 Wrap literally wraps itself around each corner of your iPad, giving the corners & surfaces secure protection. The inherent texture of the 3D printed plastic provides increased grip while also being an extremely strong and durable material. The Apple Smart Cover protects the iPad front well, but leaves the back vulnerable to dirt and scratches. The wrap is the perfect compliment to the Smart Cover and the two work together flawlessly. Check out the video for fit & function.

Works only with iPad 2

The black finish is only recommended for use with the black Smart Cover (or no Smart Cover) as its dye can eventually rub off onto the cover.

If you have questions or comments about the design or would like to inquire about custom patterns to personalize it or for branding purposes please contact the designer, Jeff Bare, here.

These three parts Yin & Yang decoration represented by a pair of black and white koi fishes. This white fish is the second part.
To build them as a full decoration, all three parts has to be collected (Black & White Fishes and the holder).
The purpose of separated these statue is to make it easier for material combination so they don't have to be painted anymore.

This is a hollow version. Very accurate representation. It is 3.0 inches in diameter. There is a very small hole at the bottom. Can be easily filled with epoxy and painted over white. It's white there because there is snow there. View in 3D and hold the up/down arrows and you'll see the hole come around. View my store for a solid and smaller version.

I just updated the design to be a bit thicker to allow the printing process to be more successful.  Apologies to those who tried to print this recently and it failed.  It did print before, but it was difficult to get finished, so I've had to increase the wall thickness.  Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

I've attached a ball to the rolling ball sculpture with the idea that you cut it off and sand it and it should work as the marble. The marble is 5/8 inch so it should work with regular glass or wooden marbles too. Yea it works! See the video!

An ornament reminiscent of a tree, lightning and coral in its appearance. The design is quite flat and would suit well as a wall hanging...or a huge pendant!

iPhone case that makes your iPhone looks like a Mac Pro.
I made this model which mimics the front of a MacPro computer for a friend of mine who is a fan of Apple products, I thought it might interest other geeks around there.
This phone cover has been tested for everyday use, the phone is set up and removed quickly, it fits nicely and all buttons and ports are easily accessible, no need to remove the case to plug the connector.
The model on the pictures was printed with the WSF polished material, I advise to use this material.
