This case has been designed following Apple's strict guidelines for iPhone cases - this assures a precise and tight fit and unconstrained functionality.

Protection

The Strong & Flexible material from Shapeways is durable enough to keep your iPhone completely safe when dropped. It can be combined with commercially available screen protectors. I would recommend combining it with the InvisibleShield for a nice combo protection.
Also, it is dishwasher-safe. If your case gets dirty over time, put it in your dishwasher and it will look brand new!

If you find that you accidentally touch the part of the iPhone antenna that reduces reception, you won't have that problem with this case. If you usually talk with your iPhone in your left hand, and if you are often in areas with marginal signal coverage, this case will make it less likely for you to lose a signal and drop a call.

Playing games or using the GPS raises your iPhone's body heat much. That's because you use your CPU at max. According to Apple's knowledge-base, if the interior temperature of the device exceeds normal operating temperatures, you may experience the following as it attempts to regulate its temperature: Device stops charging, Display dims, Weak cellular signal, Camera flash is disabled, Temperature warning screen appears with the message "iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it". To help your iPhone keep normal operating temperatures, you should use a bumper or a case such as this one, since it does not cover the back of the iPhone and does not trap the heat inside.

Design

This case doesn't distract much from the feel of the iPhone. It has the advantage of being the "un-case" because it is so minimal and does not cover the front or the back of the iPhone. Neither the sides.

It doesn't distract from the design of the iPhone either. The problem with traditional cases is that they completely cover up the iPhone. Using a traditional case you end up feeling like you are holding rubber in your hand when you hold your iPhone. The iPhone's design is really amazing and it would be a pity to hide. The case allows both the design to show and a quite smooth feel instead.

Easy to use

This case allows to plug in the 30-pin dock connector without removing the case, while all controls and connections remain accessible.

Instructions

To put the iPhone in the case, start at one of the top corners. To take it out, start from the bottom corners where there are no buttons.

“Flamenco Nouveau” pin is inspired by a classic art nouveau hair pin, but given a more contemporary look. It suggests the shape of the “Clavel” (Carnation flower) that is fundamental in the aesthetic of Spanish flamenco dancing and culture. It is recommended as a decoration for the hair, not as a hair holder. Whenever you have your hair gracefully done up as you like it, you can give the final touch of “Flamenco Nouveau” by adding one or two pins to your hair do. Then, you will look at your self and say “ OLÉ !”

This is a thinner, lighter version (with less booty) than the first Driving iPhone 5 Holder. I made this holder to fit most steering wheels, and with just two measurements I can easily modify the design to fit any wheel. As a commuter, I see people using their phones in their laps and not looking at the road, all day everyday. I'm hoping my idea will at least keep peoples eyes up, and their hands on the wheel! This model comes in Frosted Ultra Detailed. This is for the person who wants to cast the ring in gold, silver, or platinum at their local jeweller’s. What you would do is the following:

1. Order here from ShapeWays this model in Frosted Ultar Detailed.
2. Once you receive your order you would take this model to your local jewellers along with the list of stone that can fit into this model.
3. Your jeweller will give you a price to complete this model into a ring of metal and stones of your choose.
4. Please pass on this IMPORTANT NOTE to your jeweller. The model that comes from ShapeWays needs to be cleaned in his ultrasonic cleaner and than blown dry (do not use as steamer) to completely remove all support matters used in the growing process before sending to casting. If the model is not completely cleaned the casting may not come out correctly.

This is an improved version of my waistband that won last years Shapeways' Dutch Design Week contest. The improvement is such that the links cannot get snarled anymore - visually it remained the same.

A sewable clothing button with hollow pegs.

Note: The pegs in this design are 5mm in diameter. There is enough give in the Detail material for it to join with the inspiration piece's 4.9mm diameter sockets. Pieces produced in Stainless Steel don't have that flexibility and the resulting 0.1mm difference a bit too tight.

This little button includes special diagonal thru-holes in the pegs for sewing conductive thread. Each peg's center hole passes straight through to act as a socket for thru-hole component terminals and wires.

Use them to make more mechanically robust and electrically isolated contacts in sewable electronics.
