This candle holder can be used with real candle or led candle, be careful for lighting the candle to light it before installing it ...! there is a hole underneath for better handling. If you are interested by a special color that shapeways doesn't sell, send me a message, we can find a good solution!

My second try on my yingyang soy-sauce bowl and I fell in love with it!!

While designing, it was important for me to focus on the meaning of asian numbers and modern design and to combine them with the Ying Yang.

I used 8 edges on the whole design. At the outside-top/bottem, inside, S-shape and at last on the two dots.

I hope you like it and enjoy your meal with it! :)

If you're interested in some bigger sizes, just mail me.

PS:
In the future there will be some more pictures of diffrent colours.

I've made a few changes to make the cooker easier to use. I've updated the handle and made the bottom flat so anyone could eat from it. I've added an extrusion near on the handle to stabilize the cooker in the base. Version 1 was very nice looking, and version 2 will keep most of the original design while adding stability.

It will be fun to collect every color of ceramic shapeways makes. So far I have white ceramic, avocado green, and glossy black with the other colors on their way. If you are looking to get just the cooker, here's the link.

If you want to customize this in any way please email me on shapeways or contact me via my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ZeroDistanceDesigns

This little cooker is designed around the lowly tealight. First meals have been with a standard tealight (38mm x 38mm x 16mm) as the heat source and safflower oil inside the cooking vessel with minced green tomatoes, Portuguese sausage, and sliced garlic. After those tasty results, I progressed to make a variety of dishes.

Tiny Dishes + other savory treats:
- roasted garlic
- cheese frying: ale cheddar, mozzerella
- melted milk chocolate
- fried bread dough
- baked a small spice cake ball
- melted marshmellow + milk chocolate for different smores variations.

other neat applications:
- Heats soy wax to 200 (need to blow out the candle at 185F) and made soy candles.

temperatures:
- heats water: 200F
- heats safflower oil: 300F

limitations:
- uneven heating causes glaze cracks. The latest design with a flattened bottom seems to prevent cracks, but the base can still get glaze cracks.

other oil tests:
- coconut oil, grapeseed oil, butter were all tested and work well.
- walnut oil was tested and I don't recommend it as the oil spattered a few feet in the air as it heated up.

What you are looking at is a 17cm x 17cm x 17cm Voronoi net of something called the Clebsch diagonal cubic surface. We are using it not for its mathematical properties per se, but to display custom jewelry at retail. For those of you who weren't able to order a sample in the White Glaze material, the print is solid and beautifully smooth, with a very high quality feel to it, completely suited to a professional display environment. Since the White Glaze material is not available right now, it is available here in White, Strong, and Flexible, including the optional colours. Learn more about this design at http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ClebschDiagonalCubic.html or visit our website at http://www.terracottapf.com

This tea-light lantern has an art nouveau styling and a mystical elven look. If you want to add some fantasy to your table setting, these are the tea-light holders to use!

These tea-light holders are extremely versatile. You can use them alone, but there something even more exciting you can do:

You can add a customizable paper lantern "hood"! Use any kind of paper you like. There is lots of patterned paper on the market. Whystler will also be publishing PDF files that you can download and print yourself, as well as an Inkscape template so you can design and print your own!

This item is a perfect way you can add your own creativity to your surroundings. Imagine a color scheme to match your decor... or your own motivational words. Special magical symbols written to enhance your mood perhaps? It's all up to you and where you draw your inspiration.

You can even paint these with sharpy markers... black .. pink .. gold ... silver ... what else? You decide.

**A Word About Wedding Use*** Several things make these holders suitable for weddings:

-great price for 3, so you can decorate all of your reception tables.

-Verstile design allows you to add personal shades that match your wedding colour scheme, and also theme. For example, if you have a daisy wedding, put daisies on the shade! Put names on the shades and you have an instant romantically lit place holder at the table.

-When things get crazy at the wedding reception, these little beauties in WSF are durable. They bounce.

-Fits nicely into a purse or coat pocket to take home as favours.

WARNING: Use of real candles is not recommended. They may get too hot for the paper or the plastic holder. Instead, use the handy dandy electrical tea-lights available at your dollar store.

A double quintal candle stand to celebrate the five ceramic colors and two finishes.
Two rings with five arms hold each other tightly.

It really shows off the very smooth quality of the new ceramics!
And yes these are actual photo's not renders!

Notes:
The bottom remains unglazed, in normal use this is not visible and even provides some grip.
Suitable for short (half length) candles with a diameter of about 22mm.
With a full length candle it is likely to topple over and would not visually match.
Please handle with care and do not to let the flame get to low/close to the stand.
I recommend to add a little wax between the candle and the stand so it sits tightly,
and/or wrap the bottom of candle with aluminium foil.

Contrary to popular belief, scotch whisky is best not served with ice. Ice will shut down the flavour, instead a few drops of room temperature water will open out the flavour of the whisky. Add too much and you drown the whisky! This small jug can be used to hold water for adding 'just a drop' to bring out the full flavour of your whisky. Inspired by a water droplet, this would also look nice sitting on a shelf in any home. The large hole on the side is to fill the jug, if this hole is covered with your thumb when pouring, it also helps control the water flow for maximum control of the amount of water you add!

Oslo Ceramic Coaster No.2 of 6

Set of 6 Cermic Coasters, produced and available through Shapeways.

This project started with my fascination for city grids, from the strict geometry of New York to the seemingly chaotic Bombay layout. At the time, living abroad and a bit homesick, I decided to use the map of Oslo as a starting point for my Oslo Coasters. I picked 6 different areas in Oslo that represents different memories for me and created these products based on the city grid. The can be used seperatly or together.

It's a small coffee cup whose handle is a moebius strip.
It is only attached on one side (where it is horizontal): I guess such a shape should be difficult to do without 3D-printing.
Oddly enough, it is quite ergonomic: put your thumb on the vertical part of the moebius strip, put the opposite horizontal part between your index and your medium, et voilà!

The portal pressure button! Key to any test chamber and it's also a stylish cup coaster when having some cake!

No need to paint this yourself, it comes fully coloured and textured!

I advise you to use some clear coat on the piece, so that the colours stay vibrant for longer. As people who have printed in FCS before may know, FCS colours can fade when wet and clear coat will help protect them.
I have been using mine for 3 weeks at the office where I go through at least 5 cups of tea a day, and with clear coat, it's remained in good condition.

Please also consider visiting my website: www.psychobob.co.uk

Disclaimer:
- The FCS finish is a little rougher than strong and flexible materials and can potentially scratch surfaces (i.e. wooden tops). I advise you to give the bottom of the piece and the bottom edges a light sanding with some fine sandpaper to remove the roughness to prevent scratching surfaces. If it's "frosty" after the sanding, you can use some clear coat and it should remove the frosting as well as protect the piece.
- When using clear coat, always apply a small amount to a discreet part of the model (i.e. the bottom) and let it dry thoroughly to ensure it does not react poorly to the material.

It''s a Yin & Yang symbol represented by two koi fishes, but since I''d like to give an option for the material also made it in one part, i didn''t set it as black and white (Yin Yang colors).
The decoration of the design was meant to be a candle holder.

These three parts Yin & Yang decoration represented by a pair of black and white koi fishes. This black fish is the first part.
To build them as a full decoration, all three parts has to be collected (Black & White Fishes and the holder).
The purpose of separated these statue is to make it easier for material combination so they don't have to be painted anymore.

By request, a mug-sized version of the Rocket Espresso Cup. Ideal for coffee drinkers despairing of failure to launch, or for pathologically lethargic espresso drinkers. The cup should hold approximately 6-7 fluid ounces.

Please note that I have not fabricated this model yet, so I haven't had an opportunity to evaluate its ergonomics. Your mileage may vary. Conversely, if you order one, please send me a photo!

D-CUP

the D-CUP is a double layered cup with a 'deconstructive design' outer shell. you can easily hold your cup with hot coffee or tea safely inside the inner cup. due to the high pricing of the ceramic material itself we at Novastar Designs also created the more affordable D-CUP Espresso! . This initial version of the D-CUP has been recently updated to the D-CUP: Revisited!, which is now available in our shop...
