This unique shape is a 7 sided die.

It's a lat-long polyisohedron, an order 3 polyisohedron. Though this shape has 21 sides, only 7 of them are stable, each of which appear with equal probability. The numbered sides are offset from the other sides so it's easy to read the result of a roll.

Note that this is a blank, so the faces will need to be numbered.  For more information on unique dice shapes, see http://loki3.com/poly/fair-dice.html.

A d100 Spinner based on the ''d1000 Spinner'' design http://www.shapeways.com/model/159641/__d1000_spinner___limited_collectors_edition.html?gid=ug46856

WARNING! The d100 will be printed with (3) three different parts, attached to each other. These will have to be cut, assembled and the top handle glued to the axis, if needed. Depending on the material you print, you may have to treat with sandpaper, remove any excess material and possibly add a lubricant to the contact points of the spinner axis.

Breaking news!
The KickStarter project has been sucessful!
Thank you all!
This die will be mass produced in March 2013!

Truncated Sphere D14 based on a cuboctahedron.
Numbered from 1 to 14.

A D14 numbered from 1 to 7 twice is also available.

This a new version with a better engraving and a new orientation that should give better results.

Truncated Sphere D33

This is the Regular Edition of the 33-sided die specially designed to be the 33333rd entry of Kevin Cook's dice collection.

It is a big die (diameter is more than 30 mm). The thickness 1.5 mm and the depth of the numbers 0.75 mm.
There is still support material inside so it is also quite heavy...

The numbering has been carefully studied.
All numbers are by groups of 3 that sum to 51:
 - the 3 numbers at the North and South pole
 - the 9 numbers at the equator and at the 2 tropic taken 3 by 3 (any 3 numbers at 120°)
All numbers sum to 34 by group of 2 (except obviously 17, since only 17 itself can sum to 17 to give 34):
 - all the numbers of the poles and of the tropics with their symmetric number relatively to the equator
 - all the numbers of the equator (except 17) with their symmetic number relatively at number 17

This die is made by finding nine maximally-separated points on the surface of a sphere, and then at each point slicing off a circular facet with a fixed solid angle. All the facets are the same size (in area and solid angle), so the energy to roll off of a facet should be exactly the same for all of them. But, because they are not distributed completely regularly over the surface (since they aren't vertices of a regular polyhedron), this die is probably *not* perfectly fair, from a geometric point of view. I suspect that the bias will be fairly small (I don't know if it's small enough to be comparable to or smaller than the biases introduced by imperfect manufacturing). Should run some tests and at least get some empirical results.

Be sure to check out another d9, designed a little differently, by Magic.

Truncated Sphere D9.

This is my own interpretation of the D9. Please check also clsn's version.

This die is inspired by the repulsion force polyhedra. In fact, the underlying polyhedron (not rounded) looks like the shape that can be obtained through this technique with 9 points repulsing each others.
But in this case, I calculated the positions of those points to have a maximal radius for the circles resulting from the intersection of this underlying polyhedron with a sphere. The result is a truncated sphere with 9 circular faces of same radius.
It is numbered from 1 to 9: 6 numbers are on vertices, 3 on edges, none on the faces. The sum of the numbers on the upper vertices is 15. Same thing for the sum of the 3 numbers on the lower vertices and the sum of the 3 numbers on the edges. This numbering is closely linked to the well known 3x3 magic square.

This die is made of a shell of 1.5mm that contains support material to make it heavier. The engraved numbers have a 0.75 mm depth. This new version has big numbers that should be easy to read.

Truncated Sphere D17 with a 5-fold symmetry

This die is inspired by the repulsion force polyhedra. In fact, the underlying polyhedron (not rounded) is very similar to the shape that can be obtained through this technique with 17 points repulsing each others.

Actually, I calculated the positions of 17 points to have a maximal radius for the circles resulting from the intersection of this underlying polyhedron with a sphere with the following constraints:
- 1 point per pole (upper and lower face - parallel to the horizontal plane)
- 5 points around each pole
- 5 remaining points corresponding to 5 faces perpendicular to the horizontal plane

The result is a truncated sphere with 17 circular faces of same radius.

For the numbering, as usual:
 - the sum of the 5 numbers of the two tropics and of the equator is constant (and equals to 51)
 - the sum of the 2 poles, of two numbers of the tropics that are symmetric relatively to the equator, of two numbers of the equator that are symmetric relatively to number 9 is constant (and equals to 18)

See this thread for more informations.

Dice box that also doubles as dice tower, so dice thrown thru the top opening will bounce randomly and exit via the bottom opening.

Just align the holes to use as dice tower thanks to its double Y-shaped internal bouncers or rotate the inner "jail" 180 degrees to close and use as box. A tiny padlock (not included) can be used to keep the box closed.

It has 4 square sides and 4 equilateral triangle sides, though only the square sides are stable. For more information on unique dice shapes, see http://loki3.com/poly/fair-dice.html.

What is it?  Well it is a die without the die.  I took a standard die removed everything but the pips then placed supports in the corners so it would roll far.  And there you have it a really cool fair die.  Play games with it collect it.  What ever you do with it people will deinetly ask you about it.

Sizes of the dots on the 1,2,3 sides have been enlarged so these sides have the same mass as the 6,5,4 sides respectively.

This die has been tested and found fair.

The Ossuary dice pile together skulls with large flat numerals (or pips in the case of the four sided die).

This larger 'spin-down' die is not intended to be rolled, but instead used as a counter, to count life-points down from twenty. Each number is on an adjacent face to make this easy to do.

Other Ossuary Dice:

Set of six dice, fifty (count 'em) skulls.

Twenty sided, from twelve skulls.
Twelve sided, eight skulls with side bones.
Ten sided, with another twelve skulls.
Eight sided, built from six skulls.
Six sided, built from eight skulls.
Four sided, a simple tetrahedral pyramid of skulls.

D13 Sphere

This is a Truncated Sphere D13. It has a 4-fold symmetry.

This die is inspired by the repulsion force polyhedra. But in this case, the underlying polyhedron (not rounded) does not exactly look like the shape that can be obtained through this technique with 13 points repulsing each others.

This shape is an interesting variation on the traditional 10 sided die.

This 10 sided die is a lat-long polyisohedron, an order 2 polyisohedron. There are actually 20 triangular sides to this shape, where the sides aren't all equivalent. I've combined adjacent pairs together so that each of the resulting 10 sides can be rolled with equal probability.

Note that this is a blank, so the faces will need to be numbered.  For more information on unique dice shapes, see http://loki3.com/poly/fair-dice.html.

D8 Shell

It's a Alternative D8 Sphere without faces!
The idea of keeping only the round part of a truncated sphere die when the numbers lie on vertices or edges is from Clsn (check his D9 for instance).
The thickness is 2 mm. Since it does not contain a lot of material, this die is quite affordable.
