This prickly sphere looks amazing in 3D, you can lose your self for hours playing and being mesmerized by it.
It doubles as an acupuncture ball, roll it around on your body ( I love it on my head) to relax and circulate your blood, the skin feels tingly afterwards.

This is part 1 of a snap-fit puzzle machine.  When you turn the knob, it generates fun!  This is the deluxe model, there's a smaller version here.

Here's all the parts:

I designed this for the SME Rapid 2011 trade show.  The STL files are available free for use (the show logos have been stripped).

No 4 in the series of 3D printed animal heads. An alternative and less literal is Tiger Head 2.

Tiger Head 2

The Animal Head Collection.

3D Printed Animal Heads

No 1 is a Stag Head.

There is also a 75mm version here  and a 300mm version here

No 2 is a Zebra.

No 3 is a Rhino.

5 is an Elephant.

I'm experimenting with telling a story using minimal material to save on printing cost while inspiring the imagination.

The Tiger head works well for reducing printing cost, it is available in BSF  and WSF.  Both materials tell a different story.

Please send your pictures and share your thoughts on the design.

This bust represents the ancient King Polygon, system administrator of a country far far away. He was very appreciated by his fellas, because of his calm and kindness. Actually, his secret was a good amount of sleep.
But even as a nice king, he had to take care of many wars and conflicts. His biggest enemy was Lord Nurbs, who always wanted to make things complicated. The night before their last big combat, King Polygon fell asleep and never woke up.
Thus, this bust is dedicated to the brave King Polygon.
(and this is my entry for the Faces Contest!:)

This vase is part of series of vases, each generated using a different computational technique: beginning with single dimensional iteration, proceeding through multi-dimensional iteration and then into recursion. The vases are intended to enhance the algorithmic beauty of the flowers they contain. This was as much an editorial process, as a generative one: identifying the characteristics that best represent the algorithm, while still maintaining the form and function of a flower vase. The algorithms each respond to an initial arrangement of flowers and allow for adjustments to the underlying functions, producing almost limitless variation within each vase type. Using rapid-manufacturing processes, a unique user-defined vase could be generated on demand and manufactured within hours.

The 3D Vase started with the same bouquet and point distribution as the 2D Vase, but added an additional set of points, contained with a three-dimensional array that were offset from the original points. These offset points were used to create surfaces, that were then thickened to create solids. Using the same Sine and Exponential functions as the 2D Vase, the density and offset amount would change with the height.

This is the first interlocking cube I ever designed. It consists of four pieces which fit together with a series of sliding movements. It is not too difficult for the average puzzler but will provide a satisfying challenge at this small scale. The completed cube is 1.6cm on each side.

Dodecahedron like structure with five balls moving freely within its Voroni hull. The sound and feel of the balls inside makes playing with it a lot of fun. The structure is very robust and still flexible enough to bounce off the floor.

There are six regular convex polytopes in 4D, which are analogous to the five Platonic solids in 3D. This is the first, the pentachoron or hyperpyramid, in a vertex-first projection. It has 5 tetrahedral cells, and like the tetrahedron is its own dual.

In every dimension there's one polytope like this: all triangles, self-dual, analogous to the tetrahedron. As a group they're called simplexes, so this is the 4-simplex.

It's a sign! Right here on our potato chips! This super realistic potato chip with a discoloration bears an uncanny resemblance to the butchered painting Ecce Homo. Don't actually try to eat it, not that you would want to destroy such a work of art (again!). If you want some other image on the chip, just let me know and I can make you a custom one for $50 plus the printing costs.

A die in the shape of the symbol PI. To make it even better this die is perfectly weighted and all sides are roughly the same landing area. If rolled on a flat surface this die will roll fair so you can actually use it.

This die has been tested and found to be fair.

Three different solids of constant width 3cm. These are hollow and have internal stiffeners. Each is a solid of revolution from a different plane curve. You get a Reuleaux triangle, a rounded Reuleaux triangle, and a Reuleaux pentagon. All of them have width 3 cm in any direction.

Check out other solids of constant width 3cm that work with these.
