It IS hard to photograph your *entire* collection! It took me a long time to put this together and it's not even half of what I have.

But ...

It was actually lot of fun to arrange everything on one shelf, even though the picture isn't as impressive to look at as the picture in my head lol. It was
a nice break to take from designing and gave me more ideas. I recommend it.

A little note:

I have only some of the smaller things purchased from other designers here. I was able to fit them into the picture by putting them on a wooden box
in the back corner of the shelf as shown in the picture.

Another little note:

This was a great excercise in display. I still have a lot to work on. Thanks to Jettuh, I am now thinking about ways to display my pieces and the
pieces I've bought from others in our living room on a proper display shelf.

I also found a cool way to deal with the large number of boxes that end up on your doorstep (if you have kids).
Makedo http://makedo.com.au/ sell packs of connectors based on 'cable ties' so you can assemble disparate objects together. Perfect for cardboard the kit includes a tool that punches holes for the connectors and a nifty cardboard saw, you also get some hinges to make moving(ish) parts.
Lots of tinkering -- about half of the scarab pendants aren't pictured, but you can see the difference between the first one, on the left, and the latest one out of the box today, second from right. It takes a lot of prints to get things just right.

I love your collection, dadrummond - I must admit, I have a small thing for scarabs myself, and the Bronzai looks stunning!

My collection doesn't look quite so impressive at the moment, and I don't really have anywhere suitable to set up a display at the moment, but here's a quick snapshot of my Shapeways orders to date.

Naturally I didn't order the big robot (just the head), and the ring is courtesy of Alkacir, and just arrived today.

Hi all,

I love this topic, this is very interesting to have an overview in pictures of what people are doing with Shapeways.
So here is my own collection:

Click to view a higher resolution of this picture.

So let's play a game:
In this pictures there are:
- 20 White Strong Flexible objects
- 3 Dyed Strong and Flexible
- 2 Alumide objects
- 3 Transparent Detail objects (the cubosphere is my very first printed design)
- 15 Color Sandstone objects (dices and spheres)
- 4 Stainless Steel objects
- 1 Gold Plated object.
- 5 regular marbles and 1 plastic necklace
Did I missed anything?

Most of them are available in my shop.

Thanks for the kind words Dadrummond. I really appreciate.
I have an engineering background, and I guess that this can be seen through my creations
Most of my work is geometrical because this is the easiest thing for me to model: I must say that I am quite jealous of your organic designs! Keep on the good work!
On my side, I confess that I chose the Magic pseudo because initially my goal was to design the "Void Cube" that I saw hand-made on Internet ("Magic" stand for "Magic Cube"). I figured out how to do it, unfortunately, it was mass producted before I finished my own design (and so I bought one). Then, I saw what very talented community members are doing here with "Rubik's Cube-like" designs, and I decided to do.. something else
Along with my scoubidou I received my first prototype of a mechanical thingamajig. I hope I will be able to show it soon (one or two more prototypes, I guess)...

(sorry for this long message, that was perhaps not the best place to post it)

Hello,

this is my first post in this forum.

I have bought for some times at shapeways. Mostly the wunderful dutch trains from Mitchell (Jettuh) and I want to thank him for making these lovely trains for Z-Scale!

(the grey one is actual under construction to run)

The V-IRM is my favorite trainset:

The first trains I bought at shapeways, were the german 425. I have material for three compositions:

Hello,

today I recieved some parts. The most models are from stonysmith Shop and I love these little Construction Vehicles. They are looking great and the details are fantastic! It really is possible to adjust the dump bucket

It was also the first time I ordered models in "Tranparent Detail" and I'm very happy with this decision

These were my today deliverd items:

But I'm still waiting for monday, when my first diesellocomotive-model - created by Mitchell - will arrive

When my Christmas order came through I snapped some shots of probably the closest thing I will get to a "full-collection" picture. It's hard to call this my collection since many of these pieces are for sale, but it's still probably the most 3D printed steel I've had in one place for a while. Pretty much everything here is my own, I'm afraid. I had a couple of pieces by others that were lost or stolen--besides the sales pieces I snuck in some pieces I've done for my girlfriend such as the jewelry stand at far right. The large voronoi mesh was printed in the briefly-offered white glaze material. Pieces at the bottom are clips I designed for a client. Closeups are mainly of the jewelry pieces I'm selling locally these days. Full resolution photo attached at end if anyone wants a closer look at anything

Sadly, my the collection I have is always quite small, since it's either my own models for resale, or other's models for gifts. However, I think this image speaks for itself:

And these are just the ones I keep on-hand for whatever use may arise. I've recycled probably around 4 times that many, if not more
