I came up with a cool idea for a model (I thought) but now that I've modeled it, I'm dubious that it could be printed. the thinnest rods are just over 1mm or .04in. and the diameter of the whole thing is about 4.75in. Is there any chance this could survive in WSF?

Neat Model.
If the thinnest parts are 1mm then it should work.
Best way to find out, after following the design guidelines (which you did) is to order one.
