Car Wiper Blade Adapter

Hi,

damned, I've bought the wrong wiper blade for my car ...
Thanks to 3D printing, I was able to build an adapter. Actually it was cheaper to print it via Shapeways than buying a new wiper blade!
Now I can use a windshield wiper which was designed for the newer model of my car.
I've used the nice "coral red" which looks really cool now! The "strong&flexible" material works great and it fits perfect.

Great work, this is the perfect use for 3D printing. Get those hard-to-get parts, make them yourself (via Shapeways, of course).

Michael, it would be interesting to see how this stands up to the daily stresses of a typical wiper - the adapters packaged with most third-party blades are usually of a dense plastic or ABS like material.

Hi Bart,

you are right, thanks for asking!
The adapter was stable enough but it nees to be modified a little. Right now the mounting angle is not perfect. Cause of this it makes some noise when it wipes.
I'm not sure if I put it back in the shop cause I like to focus on jewelry.

Hi,

now the adapter is "visible" again. I also enabled the download function
... so if someone is interested in it, feel free to use or enhance the 3d model.
I'll remove it from the shop in a week.
Cheers!
