Two questions:
What material, and how big are the objects?

Most materials allow separate and/or interlocking parts.
This item of mine http://shpws.me/lnvb would be rejected if the individual parts weren't sprued together (they're only 1mm in diameter)
but this item http://shpws.me/lmmj has nine separate peices that move independently. A sprue on the latter would defeat the purpose.

A bit of it has to do with whether the operators can actually pick up the parts with their fingers or not.

Silver on the other hand allows only one single part - nothing moving or interlocking.. except for a specific exception of paired earrings.

The objects are dormers and a chimney for a small scale building. The dormers are very small and measure 12 mm wide with a height of 5 mm. The chimney is larger measuring 14 mm wide. See the photo below.
I hope this will print because I am having "watertight" issues when I attach a sprue.

Thank you for the replies. I've added several more stand alone dormers and chimneys to the file and uploaded them to Shapeways. The were accepted and appear to be ready to print. They will be made in the white plastic or the clear (high detail) material. I will submit the order and see what results.

Thanks again.
