Hollow stuff questions

Hi there.

I have a question:
When hollowing an object you must create something like the first drawing right?
make a sphere inside the sphere.

but in the second example.
will the yellow area be hollow?
if in my model a part of the leg (for example) goes inside the shoe what will happen?

i'm afraid it will be hollow...

or the hollow part have rules? like the face orientacion?

Hi Elf;

I touched on this subject in another thread.

http://www.shapeways.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=4768 &S=c6bc1855fc445f5cef92b438c16ddb2c&srch=hollow#msg_ 4768

Bear in mind, some of my thread is educated guesses, but Joris hasn't come along and yelled at me so I guess I'm pretty close to the mark.

hehe
