Hi all,
I...
I...
I...
I'm too poor to order anything just yet.
BUT, I've started a store for my pendants and stuff.
I'm from USA, East Coast.
I come from a fine arts/design background.
Illustrator is my strong point, photoshop coming in a strong second.
But, I was raised in a mechanical household.
I'm currently working as a designer for a manufacturer.
We primarily use illustrator and photoshop, but I've been learning Autodesk Inventor for about a year now.
It's fun software. I thoroughly enjoy learning it.
I've been aware of 3D printing but time passes so fast, i cant believe it's available for all of us now as a service. It's AWESOME!.
The moving parts bit is particularly exciting.

In any case, here's my store.
www.shapeways.com/shops/rithstore/

and here's my blog.
rithforms.blogspot.com

Thanks!
Rith.

I'm from Connecticut.
Are you on the east coast as well?

Also, I was browsing your store and saw your thermal engine.
I had a plan to make one of these that ran on a tealite.
My wife has somehow amassed at least a hundred of them.
I figure i could put them to good use with a sterline engine.
I was planning on mixing WSF with a stainless heat sink on the candle side. Just curious, did your model ever make it to produciton?
If so, did it run?

Yes, I'm in Maryland. You can also meetup with the people at Shapeways in NY along with other community members.

Unfortunately I haven't tried out my thermal design. I'm still too poor to afford all my ideas lol
