The Victorian Railways NQR wagon in G scale (1:19) by "JEEVI" test printed successfully. It is absolutely superb with all the rivet detail you could want.

A coat of paint, some Fox bogies (Cambrian Models), RCBOYS 1/8"x 1/4"x 7/3" flanged ball bearings, 24.5mm Sierra valley wheels and Accucraft couplers (AP11-738) and it will be rolling!

A train of these with the other JEEVI cars of NM and NU will be looking very protypical. NC brake van from Steam and Things of course.

I just hope that Argyle Locomotive Works are getting their NA locomotives ready!

Fun design, though! Now I want one of those tubes of plastic animals to be full of two-headed creatures.

Sandblasting and other media-blasting do not polish metals. They remove very small amounts of metal and leave a satin finish - coarseness dependent on media type, blasting velocity, and a few other parameters. Shotpeening will do much the same, but doesn't remove any material.

I wish I knew someone who owned some sandblasting equipment - I'd love to see how that would polish the metal!

The U-Fab HeadPiece worked out great !

Better pictures with models will be made... sometime.. not in the present future but in the near future

Hi Shapeways fans,

Impossible Twist is a twisty puzzle, inspired by the impossible dovetail object. As its cut crosses the equator, the mechanism is classified as "deeper-than-origin". The puzzle is very easy to solve, as it cannot be scrambled that much.

You mentioned using Blender to touch up the models and that your models had too many polygons where it wasn't necesary. In the latest version of blender, when you go into sculpt mode, and turn on topology, there is an option to decrease the polygon count in only the areas you brush over. Just thought I'd let you know

RIT Fabric Dyes work well. Check the post-production forum, as suggested, because some plastics dye better than others, as I recall.

That html file and assets are from "export for web" from quicktime It works on some machines/phones, I know with firefox, right clicking and choosing "view video" is the only way to view it. I really need to make a proper page for videos, but I don't do a lot of video.
