Hello,

I was wondering if I could possibly have a custom case molded for my Ipad mini. Recently, I purchased this device and wanted a custom mold made since a cannot find it anywhere on the internet through my extensive searching. I wanted to have a mold made in the shape and color printing to resemble the look of a Multi-Pass from the cult classic, The Fifth Element. With even having the yellow circular piece covering around the camera of the device. I've attached a picture to give an idea of what I'm wanting. I'd like a quote, if possible. The material, I would want it to be made from would be a 3D hard plastic, maybe, and durable enough to withstand being a case for an Ipad mini. I'm up for suggestions and ideas, if any.
Thank you so much and I hope to hear from some of you.

Hello, I am an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and I design and make completly custom cribbage boards. I have been doing this as a hobby but now I am trying to make this into a business opportunity. The beauty of Shapeways is that my cribbage boards can be 3D printed using any material Shapeways has available or made personally out of wood. As of now, If you decide that you want your cribbage board hand made from the wood of your choice, I plan on having 3 different tiers of customization with different prices that will be determined at a later time:

Teir 1: Custom designed board shape, no custom letters or artwork.

Teir 2: Simple board shape (rectangle, circle, oval, etc...) with custom raised or engraved letters or artwork. (The examples below would be classified as Tier 2)

Teir 3: Complete customization, board, letters and artwork, anything else you can think of.

However if you you like your design 3D printed using Shapeways, then you will be glad to hear that your board can be as complex as you want and I will only charge a low, flat hourly rate. With any purchase I will offer unlimited phone and/or Skype calls in order to get the design exactly how you want it. I have attached a few examples of my work so far.

Also feel free to contact me about other projects besides cribbage boards and I will be more than happy to make your ideas into reality.

Thank you for your time,

Peter

Now available on Shapeways, WidgetWizard (store) can render your broken and hard to find classic car parts in 3D.
All it takes is a sample part, broken or not and the new design will be redesigned in 3D with better supporting geometries and other features as you request. Now you can easily find that "impossible" replacement part, AND have it in plastic or even titanium. We usually design for SLS printing, so nearly all the Shapeways materials are available to you.

Photo; New 3D part on left, broken 30 year old part on right.
Better and stronger!

Greetings!

My name is Steve Wood of Escape Pod Games in the United States. Our game line, Gunship, is ready to take the next step into the gaming world and we need plastic pieces!

My current artist is Luca Oleastri of Bologna, Italy. He creates all of our ships and weapons, etc using Bryce software. But it seems that Bryce does not always translate well into what is needed for me...

What I'd like to do is find someone who can take a 2D picture or Bryce file and create files to help me create my prototypes for an upcoming game. I'd like to use shapeways to make them for now. I am very busy with two businesses and would probably need help learning the ropes etc. around here.

I will need Gun Turrets and some Ships. The major creative part is already done and I can get you whatever views etc that you need.

I'm a rising company and well-known on lots of gaming sites. I will do anything I can to help you get more similar work. Please respond to escapepodgames@yahoo.com if you are interested and we'll talk about your costs etc.

Thanks!

Steve Wood

Hello brilliant minds of 3D modeling

I would love someone's help on 3D modeling shape for 3D printing. It's called a Convex Polyhedron, its similar to the image that is uploaded (without the circles). I would like to be able to have it 3D printed in a couple of sizes, ranging from 1 to 10 cm. I'll send detailed description in mail. Is a plus to be able to print with Makerbot.

Would be great to hear prices as well and examples of work if available and anything that is good to know! :)

Looking forward to hearing from you!

best,
Oli

Hi Everyone.

I am new to this on-line way of doing things, so I am keeping my rates fairly low for my clients.

I am currently accepting 3D modeling jobs for mechanical and industrial parts.

I am well versed in creating 3D models from basic sketches as well as

documentations and engineering drawings.

I am most comfortable in using Solidworks as my primary CAD since this

is the software that I grew up with so I can model almost anything

with it, with the exception of fabrics, organic materials like grass

or trees and other free flowing materials.

Please feel free to contact me if you'd be interested.

My email ad is: ace_caoile@hotmail.com

I've been using Solidworks for about 15 years, Cinema 4D for a little more than 5 years. Mostly it's been props from science fiction and fantasy video games, but also a substantial amount of pure mechanical work for hobby robotics.

A few years ago I worked at a TechShop, teaching classes on and maintaining about 7 different CNC machines. Since, I've been programming and operating CNC machines in traditional manufacturing settings. More recently, I've been collaborating with prop builders by using Shapeways to print initial high-quality mold masters- going directly to finish sanding saves them a lot of time.

The work I produce is solid, detailed, and purposeful.
Napkin sketches, general ideas, or specific photographic references are all that's needed for me to build from. Designs can incorporate non-3D-printing processes; CNC milling, and laser/plasma/router cutting, as well as fasteners and off-the-shelf hardware and parts. If desired for mechanical parts, some FEA and mass properties calculations can be supplied- and parts optimized for.

Both artistic and mechanical parts can be produced. I'm specifically interested in generative or procedural part post-processing - voronei lightening, etc. I can optimize parts for volume, and I understand and follow best practices with regards to material-specific geometry.

I'm a native English speaker, with moderate proficiency in Spanish.

Please contact me for a quote with information about your project.

Below are some examples of my work.

I am an engineer with experience working for small start up companies and have a passion for designing products. I have a degree from Purdue University and am a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA- basically means I know what I am doing with 3d CAD). Don't let those qualifications make you think I will charge outrageous rates though, I enjoy helping people make their ideas come to life and can usually complete small designs fairly quickly, so a large fee for that work just doesn't make sense to me. The only thing I don't take on is character models, because these lean towards the non-technical which is not my expertise.

I look forward to working with you on your next project,

-Andrew

Working on a documentary film! Need a miniature version of the US Capital building. I would like to not include the very left and right side though (image attached for ref). I also would like a good amount of detail on the dome part. The total height should be anywhere from 6" to 10".

This is a quick turnaround, so I would like to get someone going on it in the next 5 days. THX!!

I would also like to discuss the project over the phone first, because my attached jpg does not have a great deal of detail.

I have an idea for an iPhone case with moving parts a bit like this one:

http://www.3dsoup.com/index.php/improved-iphone-gear-case-wi th-geneva-mechanism-3d-printer-model/

I've never done any 3D modelling does any know roughly how much it would cost to pay someone to create a model similar to the one above?

I work here
The "3D Modeler For Hire", and "3D Modeler Needed" sections have been alive and well for a good while now. A few things have arisen that we'd like to address with a few Guidelines:

If you are looking for a modeler, from this point on, the acceptable way to contact the modeler about a job is through PM or email (if provided by the modeler). There are a couple reasons for this, but it is primarily to keep the playing field fair for all modelers for hire.

If you are shopping for the best price, then the modeler needed section is for you. Of course you could PM every modeler for hire, but you can just create a thread in the modeler needed section. If someone is interested in doing your project, they'll contact you.

Now for your own benefit:

Have a good idea of what you would like designed!
Familiarize yourself with our materials and the requirements of these materials.
The more information you can convey to the designer, that happier you'll be with the end product.

Thanks,
Mike

Hello,

I am a concrete artisan and am working on a line of small geometric planters and related items. I need the items modeled to be 3D printed so that I can make rubber molds of the objects. The geometric items are shapes such as icosidodecahedron, snub cube, icosahedron, etc. Most of these shapes have been modeled and are available in .skp format, but I want to adjust and remove planes from the shapes and model the inside portion as a planter with a positive draft.

I would prefer to work with someone in the Phoenix, AZ area if possible to help speed the process, but am open to working via email and Skype. If interested, please message me with a link to your portfolio and rates.

Thanks,

BG

I am a newbie 3D modeler and I am accepting works involving creation of 3D models and documentations/ assembly drawings.

I've done a couple of 3D prototyping jobs here, the concepts is similar it's just that the output varies with each product.

Depending on the completeness and the complexity of your design, my standard turn around time for a single-part product is only about 2-3 hours. But for products having several moving parts, I will have to see the actual design first before I can give a more accurate estimate of how long it will take me.

Please see attached sample of my other CAD works and please feel free to contact me if you'd be interested.

Thanks,
