HI ALL
I need somebody to help me ASAP with the 3D modelling of a bold necklace.
the modelling needs to be done starting from a 3D scan of a lobster very detailed.
I have done some rough sketch-work on Illustrator to give the idea of what I want.
If somebody might be willing to help just reply to this thread and I will explain you better what I am talking about...by e-mail...
The job needs to be done in the next few days. I need to print it at the latest on Saturday.
If yoiu have done already jewellery projets it might be better but not compulsory..
Then we ll see the rate for completion together...

Hi
Stumbled across this site a few days ago, and it set ideas ticking.
Since I don't know anything about 3D modelling, I'd need someone to help me.
The thing I need is an iPhone case about as complex as this one http://www.shapeways.com/model/361974/iphone-4s-4-victorian- filigree-swirl-puzzle-style.html, not LIKE that design (so no one needs to accuse me of theft of design), but about as much work to be done. The closing mechanism etc. might be simpler, but generally much the same.
I would draw a design by hand to work from, I could actually vectorize it too if that's any better. As I don't know anything about 3D business, I couldn't tell. 
I am sorry if it isn't okay to start these kinds of threads, but I saw a myriad of other threads, and didn't know where to start really.
EDIT: Sorry, saw that I probably should have posted this in "3D modeler needed", if possible this post can be moved there.

Welcome everyone!
I'm an 3D artist specilising in modeling for 3D printing and not only. I'm hard surface modelers as well as environment artist and industrial designer. I model basically everything that is inorganic. I have huge experience in working with clients. Everyone who I was working with, were in 100% happy from the results accomplished. Moving parts are not a problem for me, I can produce engine prototypes or even small projects like a gaming dice.
I produce my designs from in different ways, based on quick sketches, technical drawings, simple explanations, concept arts and references.
While modeling for 3D printing I keep in mind to maximally decrease material fees, no matter which 3D printing service you use.
I charge per hour $10.

I am a recently retire Xerox Corporation engineer with 38 years of design and analysis experience. I have design experience in castings, sheet metal, plastics and exotic metals. I use CREO and SolidWorks for design and analysis. I own a fully functional model shop with CNC,Welding and 3D printing. As a retiree my rates ($30/hour) are very low due to low overhead.

Hi, I'm Chris. I've decided to branch out into custom work for anyone who wants 3D printed parts. I've mostly done robot hands up til now, but also a few other parts.
