We have a custom security bookshelf at home that requires a #8 spanner bit to unlock. We currently use a standard 1/4" drive socket driver to unlock the case, but we would like a key made that can be worn or displayed. Final model would probably be quite small, but still need to retain strength.

Thank you.

I have made very elaborate rings that are meant to serve as trophies. They are made from aluminum foil and recently 3D rendered using CAD. I would like to have the designs 3D printed but I need help adapting my CAD file for 3D printing. Specifically, I need someone to examine the CAD file and fix the following so that it can be printed via 3D printer:

Objects must be closed
Objects must be manifold
Observe the maximum size and wall-thickness
Object's maximum size and the minimum wall-thickness
Correct normals

This is a very cool project and I need expert level help and someone who is cool to work with. We have 7 other rings we would like printed if all goes well with the first one. A pic is included of the prototype ring made in aluminum foil. I am available to discuss via email, skype, facetime, phone, etc. Thanks in advanced for any help.

I have DICOMM images that I need converted into 3d files. I know there is software that can do that, but it will also have a slight bit of metal artifact creating a little distortion that needs to be cleaned up. Is this something you can do? The movie on this webpage will give you an idea of the metal artifact I am talking about http://bormanviolins.com/CTResearch.asp We want to create violin tops only as molds for other makers.

Any designers on this site own or operate a 3D printer? I am familiar with shapeways and various sites, but I want to work directly with someone that owns a 3D printer as I want to work on a more one on one basis. I can pay you personally to 3D print miniature versions of this:

http://chrisdarmon.com/Matchbox-Shoe-Packaging-R5

I'm trying to sell and "pitch" this concept to Nike and Adidas... The design is "patent pending"... Any and all advice/3D printing vendors/or 3D artist that want to assist on this project are more than welcome to contact me here:

chris (at) cirquemedia (dot) com

I've been working on this project for the last 3 months in my sparetime. Check out my site for more info and how this packaging goes far beyond just shoes. However, it's designed for shoes and I've worked directly for Nike and Adidas and have a few client contacts that might assist in getting this made. I need samples, physical 3D printed samples to send off. Need help, don't need quotes, need someone to "JUST DO IT". We'll talk numbers once you send me an email...

Greetings, everyone.

I seek someone who can create a custom mount so I can slide my tablet in to my car. This mount would be based off of the original audio garnish/trim place of my Honda Element. I wold send you an original trim place, and that can be used to create one that has a slotted bracket where a tablet can be slid into and essentially sits in FRONT of the current radio.

The attached image (green area) represents the piece I would sent you to base the design off of. It can either be a completely new printed bracket with added/printed integrated slide brackets to accommodate the tablet, or something that attaches to it.

The metal spring piece I can get as well, they will be needed for your design (but the bracket will come with them, and can be printed as well I imagine)

if anyone is interested in knowing more - or has questions, or would like photos of the bracket to gauge plausibility, I would be more than happy to work together! I can make a mock up - although this below linked product is essentially what I want integrated into the new design:

https://www.shapeways.com/model/711698/nexus-7-tablet-mount. html?li=productBox-search

Best Regards,
Anthony.

Does anyone have the capability to 3D print an iPod Touch 5th Generation Case? I love the webbed design in this link: https://www.shapeways.com/model/414675/iphone-4-4s-case-cell -2.html?li=productGroup&materialId=6 but unfortunately an iPod Touch 5th Generation version is not available. I'd like the color black and I'm willing to pay between $20-30. Please help me out if you know of a way to make this case - this is the perfect gift for my boyfriend!

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to Shapeways and especially 3D modeling. I'm looking for someone to help me convert a PDO file into a file type acceptable by Shapeways and make sure it fits their standards. Any help is appreciated. The file is locked but I was able to open it fine. The password should be "Shepard" if you need it. Also, does anybody know if this is legal to do with this file (a gun from the videogame Mass Effect)? I saw other items from the game like a miniature sniper but I'm not sure.

Btw, the software to view the file can be found here if you need it. I just don't have the proper software/knowledge to convert it.

Hi,

We need someone to design a wristwatch kind of enclosure where our PCB can fit in it. The device needs to be worn on the wrist for almost 8 hours so need a design which is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to wear on.

A picture of PCB is attached herewith. This won't require much work and should be done by an expert in couple of days.

It would be great if we can find someone from around Northampton, MA area so that we can interact with them in person.

Thanks.

I recently came across Jack Evill's Cortex design and was blown away...

http://www.core77.com/blog/medical/concept_cast_a_3d-printed _exoskeletal_cast_from_jake_evill_25147.asp

I love to see examples of how 3D printing truly improves lives. With that said, I believe we have barely even scratched the surface with the possibilities of this technology and it's impact on improving the lives of the millions of people in our world with disabilities. I have worn leg braces since the age of 4...I am 33 now. So much has changed in the world of technology and yet there has been very little progress in designing orthotics! The best kind available to me are priced at an insane 12k and only 1 office in the entire country will make them. My vision is as follows:

#1 Create a 3d scan of either my feet or current leg braces.
#2 Select best material to print from (strong with some flexibility).
#3 Update design through colaboration & print.
#4 Create formula and manufacturing technique to be replicated to the masses.

Anyone with the necessary skills and ambition for a project like this, please contact me to discuss further. NYC designers preferred but not mandatory.

Thank you!

I'm an avid model caster and am looking to do some vehicles not available in 1:32 scale for slot car bodies. I have used a NextEngine 3D scanner and Rapid Prototyping, but am very slow at it. I am looking for someone to either develop the 3D for the car or to scan a 1:24 model body that exists - rescale it to 1:32 ( I'd provide the correct dimensions) and then have it printed.

If interested, please contact me for further information.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I'm looking for an experienced 3D modeler, and someone with examples of 3d printed work, to build the attached file. I'd like to have it printed in plastic and even though i'm a competent 3D modeler I have no experience building a model for 3D printing.

If you're interested please reply with your hourly rate and how long you think it will take to model.

Please link to your portfolio and links to exampled of your printed work.

Thanks guys.

Hi! We're a small creative studio developing a cool project. We need a helper to take hand-made ceramic maquettes, and turn them into high quality 3D prints. We supply the art, you help develop a process. Help us with testing to find the best way to get efficiency and quality in scanning, modeling, and printing. After that, we may ask for ongoing help to manage the process. The more skill you apply, the more opportunity it can bring.

Our maquettes are created by a pro ceramic artist. Here's a quick rough video with samples: http://youtu.be/iDiNsWMOGzo Getting 3D models could use a method like laser scanning and cleanup, or we have 360-degree photo sequences shot on a turntable that can go to a 3D modeler. Once 3D models are ready, they could go to a site like Shapeways. It might depend on how well the models translate into prints, the material quality, and whether there are alternative ways to print with local companies.

If you do modeling, that would be cool. Even if you don't, you could work with a contract modeler, and help set up a Shapeways account or manage a web store as an ongoing role. Please get in touch and tell us about your skills, and we'll tell you more about the project.

You can contact me directly at: patsatwork (at) gmail (dot) com

Attached are two figures I need modeled. Probably to be made in Frosted Ultra Detail.

Regarding the seaman, instead of holding a pipe, make the right arm extended as if he is holding a whip. I will make the whip so the hand has to be just cupped so I can insert the whip.

The scale is 1/60, so the figures should be about - the seaman - 1 1/8" ; and the captain - about 1 1/4"

Please indicate costs and time.

I have purchased a 3D file from turbosquid of a skull and would like some one to convert it to STL, scale it down to about 15mm on a side, add a vertical center hole, and make some additional adjustments (optimize) to make it ready for 3-D printing using Kraftwurx. Kraftwurx has the finished material required.

PM me if you have experience doing the above.
