Hello,

I have the following request. Attached is an STL file of some parts I would like to get printed. The file basically contains the turret, the barrel and the tracks of a german WWII tank. The three parts are in 3 different scales, so in total the file contains 9 parts (3 barrels, 3 turrets and 3 tracks).

I would like to make 2 changes to the file.

1. Split the file into 3 files (1 per scale). So 1 file contains all the 3 parts of the same scale (barrel, turret and trakcs).
2. Remove the tracks.

So basically after the 2 changes are done I should have 3 files, each containing a turret and a barrel of the same scale.

I've tried the free version of magics and netfab to do this but was unable to make it work.

Can anyone please help?

tx and kind regards

Michel

Hi,
I run a small 3D Printing Modelling company and we have recently taken on some new projects that require some outside help. We are looking for proven character 3D Modellers that can help on several projects. Please email examples of your 3D printed models to adam@inner-leaf.com. Please don't PM or add replies here as email is much faster and better for us.

Thanks

We are a Rotary club in Seattle hoping to create a xmas tree ornament to raise funds for clean water filter for kids in Ethiopia. Is this something you could design for us?

Below are two links to two different images:

http://dev.boostmktg.com/xmas/wp-content/themes/themeforest_ bigfeature-wordpress-theme_51702/bigfeature/images/banner.jp g
http://lindeburg.com/store/media/poliopin2.jpg

I want the one logo/image (basic rotary logo--not all the xmas themed stuff) with a thickness that you recommend. And I want the other shape as well (the globe with the drops) set perpendicularly to the first shape so that the pieces as a whole form a sphere. I'm not sure how to attach the two shapes. I will need an eye on the top side to attach a filament.

No electrification is required.

Please help us. We would be very grateful and easy to work with.

Hello,

I was wondering if I could possibly have a custom case molded for my Ipad mini. Recently, I purchased this device and wanted a custom mold made since a cannot find it anywhere on the internet through my extensive searching. I wanted to have a mold made in the shape and color printing to resemble the look of a Multi-Pass from the cult classic, The Fifth Element. With even having the yellow circular piece covering around the camera of the device. I've attached a picture to give an idea of what I'm wanting. I'd like a quote, if possible. The material, I would want it to be made from would be a 3D hard plastic, maybe, and durable enough to withstand being a case for an Ipad mini. I'm up for suggestions and ideas, if any.
Thank you so much and I hope to hear from some of you.

I have a set of 8 keyboard keycaps that I had made by another designer on Fiverr. Although at the time they were correct specifcations, Shapeways minimum wall thickness is .2 mm over what I had originally had made. I need to readjust all the models to fit that minimum requirement.

You can see the models here: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/P3T

I will provide you with the .stl files when needed, if you are interested please give me a quote and an idea of how long it will take as I am looking to produce my first set soon.

Job done.

Hi there! I just want to know prices about making the famous RB26DETT Engine from the Nissan SkylineGTR34. With working parts if its possible (pistons, crankshaft...) and some detailing (exhaust line, turbos, intercooler,....)

I want to make a diorame with the engine alone near my GTR34 model.

http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd205/nosprowler/tomeirb26dett.jpg

If your price interest me, I'll pm you but I just want to know prices.

If a working version is too hard to make, a fixed one could interest me too. In small scale (1/24,20,30... something like that)

To whom it may concern,

I am looking for someone to turn the character Marcel the Shell into a 3D image. I have attached two pictures in a word document. My cousin LOVES this character and I wish to have shapeways.com turn it into jewelry (preferable a necklace and ring) for her 21st birthday next month. Since it would be jewelry, Marcel would have to be small (not too bulky yet viewable). I am imagining approximately an inch and a half long by an inch and a half tall (for the necklace) and smaller for the ring. You all are the professionals though, so I am open to suggestions! I have never made a 3D model before, but am excited of the possibility. Please help me!! I do not have too much time to complete this project. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Emily

Hello,

I need some help with a few full-body 3D anime models I'd like to have printed soon. The models are already made and clothed but I do not have the tools to pose them and they need some adjusting to make them print ready such as thickening walls, smoothening and some other (minor) edits.

If anyone (preferably someone who's experienced with posing and human anatomy) is willing to help, please let me know. They don't have to be done before any specific date but reliable quick service is very much appreciated. Of course I'm willing to pay for your efforts.

I will send pictures of the required poses.

Thank you.

This caracters are published in SPIROU (Belgium weekly issue) and the estimate would be submit to the editor.

So I need somebody.

I am looking for a model of a four-leafs clover key holder that would just make me and anyone else fall in love with. If selected it would be an exclusive design. I just need the design of the clover (not the keyring, chain, etc.). I have something very specific in mind. Of course, should be so that it can be realistically produced (technical characteristic of the design - not necessarily the file/program yet). I am looking for something kind of full body, rounded shapes, if leafs kind of remind of a hearth even better, but not main. It really just should look: that's the one.
I am attaching a pic of similar objects, just to give you a sense of the full body, roundness ...

Hi,

I am working on making a model scale. I designed my figures with DazStudio.
The figures will be printed to a scale of 1/20 so 1 m for 20 mm
When I try to repair them via Netfabb (closing the holes and diminishing the shells), I lose the main details (hair mostly)
and repairing creates a lot of relief on the surface. see pictures below.
Can somebody help me to do it ? There are 14 figures in total.

Thanks,

Best

We are looking for a 3D designer to make us drawings of various smartphone cases for a particular application i.e. not quite a standard case!

We need something like this:

https://www.shapeways.com/model/710156/iphone5-3d-cover.html ?li=shop-results&materialId=6

(thanks to astonetech for providing inspiration!)

but only the upper portion (top right on the second image) and with a protrusion on the back side of the case around the camera lens aperture.

Ideally we'd like to find someone that already has the basic design for iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5/5S cases so that we can modify existing drawings rather than start from scratch. In time we may add other case designs for e.g. Samsung S3, S4, S5 etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hello-

I'm looking for someone who can help me create a ready to print file (that we upload at shape ways to print) of the new Disney Maleficent Steampunk Dragon float.

looking to produce the skull of the dragon. As I think anything else would be too large to do( but open to exploring making the whole dragon)

not sure what it would cost to 3d print the skull only. As this needs to have some size/scale to it.

this is a new float coming soon to disney world...so not many photos/info exist on it. As it's just to make its debut

but here is a link to some teaser photos that we put up on the web
<a href=" http://www.insidethemagic.net/photos/photos-steampunk-malefi cent-dragon-to-star-in-new-festival-of-fantasy-parade-at-wal t-disney-world/" target="_blank"></a>

I think we are best making this in plain white...and we can paint it on our end. As I think this is the only way your going to match the actual float version.

let me know if you are interested in working on this. And what you would estimate the cost to do so
and time line.

thanks!

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for a 3D modeler to make me some cars for a series of models I'm doing. Some cars would be flat, like a VW Thing, but others would be bubbly like the Alfa Romeo Bat 7.

Some will be simple, like a utility bed for a truck or ambulance box.

Others would be complicated

Here's how I usually do it. I will provide you with front, left side, right side, rear, and top view (sometimes top may not be available) and any other views I can find.

The parts will be broken down in roughly the same way:

Body,
front bumper,
rear bumper,
glass
left head light,
left taillight,
right head light,
right taillight,
left headlight bezel,
right headlight bezel,
left taillight bezel,
right taillight bezel,
chassis plate,
interior tub
dashboard
steering wheel with column
wheel
tire

I like most parts to have either a male or female shiplap (or both).

Please provide rates. Need files in STL format. If this works out well, I intend to ask you to do some tanks as well.

Please email me if you are interested to robertburnsjr101@yahoo.com

Thank you

I'm looking for digital sculptors to create miniatures of the ship designs for my steampunk exploration-themed board game. (The game is basically 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea meets "At the Mountains of Madness" with art nouveau.)

http://incredibleexpeditionsgame.com/artwork.html

There are 5 ship designs in all, approximately 40-45mm in length each. The "greens" for creating the molds for the plastic miniatures will be 3D-printed in high-res acrylic. Since the miniatures are small, the detail level of the figures should be fairly simple. The sculptor will be responsible for incorporating stylistic bases into the miniature designs so the ship miniatures can stand on the table.

This is a paid job, but on a tight deadline. Please respond only if you have current availability.

Please link to 3D sculpting work examples, including reference sketches used if possible. Previous experience with designing for mold-ready miniature or toy design a definite plus.

I have a model which has been successfully printed about 20 times but now Shapeways feels like it's too much trouble. Thing is, I've gotten this ring back with the entire thin wall area (fangs) missing and it doesn't bother me. I don't mind it not having fangs, I can still set stones without them. Anyway, long story short, they won't print this anymore until it's fixed.

The fangs are about .3mm thick, and Shapeways thinks that they should be .6mm for successful printing. I have this model in ring sizes 5-13, and need each version updated with thicker fangs. Any help would be awesome and of course I can pay you for your work. The reason I can't do this myself is I hired a designer for this work but since it's been months since it was made I really don't want to bother him with fixing it now suddenly.

Please let me know if you are interested.

This my first time on the forum, so be gentle!

I am building a 1/32 scale replica of a WWII battleship. BB58, the USS Indiana, is 20.5 feet long, and will have a crew of two, a captain, and a young grandchild to man the No. 3 turret.

The main construction is wood and fiberglass, and the hull is 90% completed. First float will will be spring, 2014.

I need scale parts for deck guns, life rafts, etc., and have a 1/350 scale plastic model for reference. Does anyone have experience in 3D scanning, enlarging, and producing such parts? I have no experience in this area.

The "scale-up" ratio is 10.94 times the size of the plastic parts. The biggest item to be 3D printed will probably be a 9 inch cube. Some parts will be longer but with a smaller cross section. I will need a number of parts, and plan to phase-in the printing, depending on costs. I am not opposed to obtaining my own 3D printer, but only if it is cost effective.
.
I may reached at hawkinsgus@gmail.com, or 219-924-6780.

Thank you.

I am creating a system of modular scenery for tabletop gaming and hobby displays (miniature displays, doll houses, train layouts, etc). The system itself is complete enough to start looking for the artists who can bring it to life. I'm starting my search right here in the Shapeways forums since you guys are the ones that know Shapeways and 3D printing best.

I have no genre or style in mind - this is an all-purpose product that will cater to a diverse range of customers. The beauty of doing this through Shapeways is that it costs nothing (other than the time and effort of the artists) to experiment and extend the range of product. Your interests and creativity are important to me. I will be more than happy to work with you and let you play around with what you want.

That said, there are functional requirements I need to impose, which we can talk about via email, Skype, or Google Hangout.

Please PM me with your interest and questions.

Thanks,

Chris Mayer
