Hi,

I'm looking for someone to quote me on creating a figure of the character Arbo from the Skylanders franchise (http://skylanders.wikia.com/wiki/Arbo).

Ideally, I'd like it in full colour sandstone and about 5cm tall.

I've seen this character printed before so I'd like something similar to this if possible.

http://i.imgur.com/dT2Wn.jpg

The pose and the grassy base aren't super important so if it's easier/cheaper to use a different pose and/or base than the one in the photo i'd be open to it.

Could anyone help me with this?

Thanks

There are a few members on here that have made some outstanding Bionicle masks. I've made a second order of masks because I was so impressed with my first order. I have sent private messages to a couple of the creators but I have not ever heard back from them. Images of the masks are linked to below.

Kanohi Ignika, Mask of Life
Two people have taken on this one, but neither of them has actually come close to what it really looks like (although I did order both of them already, to see what they're like). The mask can be seen in this video with a camera rotating around it to give a full 3D view. The only thing it's missing is an axle-connector. https://youtu.be/83rxA_E3bWc?t=7m3s
I also made the video into a GIF, although I can't figure out how to download it from this site. https://gifyoutube.com/gif/Krw87w

I don't know what else to say here. I guess if anyone responds, we can talk more about fees and details and such. Thanks!

Hello there, I am in need of someone who can possibly recreate this brooch. No stones needed, if there are divots for them I can set the stones myself. I refuse to pay near 300.00 for the only replica available. I would rather make it myself if it cannot be done this way. Any help is highly appreciated. The brooch measures 4 to 4.5 inches across.

Email - jahotur@aol.com

Thank you.

Looking to hire ring modeler for Engagement Ring. Preview the design and make sure you can model before contacting me. The ring size will need to be 7, and diameter of the center stone 10mm. I will provide more details on skype. My skype is warrior.4.Chr1st

The model will have to resemble the photos EXACTLY. You must be able to model this ring, else please do not contact me. I will split the orders in 2, one for the model and if the model meets the requirements and I am satisfied with proceeding then the second order for the render of the model.

I would like to hear of paid work for modelling projects.

I worked as a senior developer on Parasolid which is the core geometric engine in high end modellers like Solidworks and Unigraphics, if you run these modellers then you have run on my code.

I have a keen engineering background, my shop includes several lathes and mills and I am in the middle of a self build CNC router table

I can work in C++ and C# and can write small apps to directly produce OBJ/STL models for specialist ( sometime a dedicated app with a few parameters tuned to a certain type of product can be preferable to a generic modeller ).

Because I understand whats under the hood I have a very deep understanding of solid modelling operations - if you know the code then you have a deep undestanding of how to use the code and how to use it cleanly and efficiently.

I would not prove hugely expensive, I am in a comfortable position and choose to work at what I enjoy as much for the fun as for the financial reward.

I have experience of all the usual freebie mesh modellers and rendering apps.

Let me know if you think you need my experience.

Jonnie

Hello I was wondering if there was anyone on here that could do a 3D model for me of the figure listed below(images). I wanted him to be 6.5 inches tall from the top of his crown, to his feet. I also wanted him to have articulation at the following places-Head(full 360 degrees), Arms(full 360 degrees), Arms(Bending at Elbow), & Fists(full 360 degrees) Thats it! It doesn't seem like it would be that big of a hassle besides this figure isn't extremely detailed as it is unless you consider his scaly texture. If you also watch the video provided, its actually quite simple to add ball and socket joints to the model as there is a lot of different joints to choose from, already made in ZSketch! That is why I didn't think it would make a huge different to add articulation to the 3D model price wise. I can't find this figurine anywhere as it came out in the late 90s and is very rare! I am currently a student so I do not have a ton of money so hopefully someone is able to do it without a problem. I posted a post similar to this several days ago of this character but it was more complex(detail wise) and many people wanted hundreds of dollars. I'm hopefully this figure is very simple to replicate and doesn't cost a lot. Thanks!

P.S - I was planning on 3D printing him on Vinyl PVC like material

Hi!

Currently looking for a NYC-based designer/modeler to be part of a viral social experiment adventure.

Ideally, we'd be looking for someone who would like to join a fun team of creative hobbyists.

We're not really looking for a hire, as this is a for-fun project. But it's an opportunity to do some really cool work with a project that will likely catch a lot of internet buzz.

More info upon request!

Thanks!

In a preliminary idea phase right now, but I'm looking to possibly create a scaled down versions of existing figures with modified poses and a few other alterations. The figures would be dairy cattle based off retail versions that are already available. The current figures are about 1/20 scale and I'd like to go to 1/64 scale. Alterations would include poses and age (size/shape) modification.

I have access to AutoCAD 2013 but am unsure of my modeling/modification skills. I'm willing to give it a whirl, but I am no artist and not skilled in 3D at all. I'm thinking a 3D scan may be a good staring point, but don't have access to a scanner.

I'm open to any ideas, suggestions and overall direction. Again, nothing is set in stone, so this may never even happen. I just want to educate myself first before I get too deep into anything. I am brand new to this, with only a little browsing around the site, so any constructive input would be welcome.

Thanks

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a 3D designer who can design me a model for an old Flandria Whippet motorcycle from the 60-70's. It's an old type motorcycle originally produced in Belgium.

I want a scale model of this motorcycle to be 3D printed and sent to my home adress in the Netherlands. I've tried looking for a scale model (miniature) online but without luck.. so i've decided to get one built for me with this new technology.

Here are some demands I have for this model for the eventual 3D printing:
I want the model to be as detailed as possible, the eventual size doesn't really matter as long as it is about 15cm (length), 10cm (width) and 15cm (height). Being a little bit smaller or larger than those dimensions is no problem.

I would also prefer the material to be something mettalic (which i could also easily paint),.. if not possible then i would like it to be the default bio-plastic stuff which i could paint on.

Here is a link to some pictures of what i would want:
http://imgur.com/a/PuZ20

Other than ther ones above i have no further demands. I do realize that the pictures are of diffirent kinds of the same motorcycles so slight changes could appear, but the artist can decide what looks best on the model, as long as the general details look good.

This project holds great sentimental value to me which i am willing to pay for, but to avoid insane costs I would love to receive an estimate of the modeling cost and (if possible) the printing cost estimate in your response.

My name is Gabe Mangold and today I am in need of 3D designs for my invention, The ENIpick. The purpose of the ENIpick is to allow any guitarist to seamlessly transition from standard plectrum playing to thumbpick playing. Standard thumbpicks can feel awkward and do not offer the precision or comfort of tortex, jazz, and other popular plectrums. The ENIpick solves this by allowing the player to insert their preferred plectrum, making standard picking as comfortable as it usually is while adding to option to pluck with all 4 remaining fingers, as opposed to only having 3 available if you were holding a pick. My designs are in their infancy and I'm in need of assistance fine tuning them. The pictures exceeded the file limit for this email so I've linked a couple downloads:

Design 1, illustrates front, back, side, and bottom views.
http://www.mediafire.com/view/o5ngo892b1j3an5/ENIpick_design _one.jpg

A few picks that the device needs to be able to support.
http://www.mediafire.com/view/1ihovbx0cdlhurf/pick_size_char t.jpg

The idea with this design is to have 'arms' on either side of the thumb wrap that will clamp the pick into place. It must be able to firmly hold picks as small as .50mm and as thick as 1.4mm. The edges of the arms should bevel inwards to offer an ergonomic feel for the thumb and forefinger. The goal of this device is to be able to insert any pick into it without having to feel any part of the device. It should feel as if you are just holding the pick. This is the current issue I have with the design and I'm open to prototype a few different ideas. The parts of this device are very small, with extremely small gaps inbetween the clamps, hopefully it can be designed and printed.

The material needs to be able to grip and clamp the pick firmly, while still being flexible enough to expand to hold the larger picks.

I'm very excited to begin work on this, please let me know if you need more pictures or information from me and what your rates are. The best was to contact me is via email at: delusionsofgrandeur22@gmail.com but messaging through here is fine as well.

Thanks and hope to hear back soon!

Hi everyone!

I'm very new to the 3D space but excited to play around. For my first project, I created a voxel model of a pixel character. I hollowed it out within the voxel editor but I KNOW there's tons of room for improvement, mainly because the similar size models I've seen for sale here come out cheaper than the automated system is telling me. I'd love to squeeze as much as I can out of it.

So, I was wondering if a kind soul had some time to help me thin out my walls and create the proper sized escape hole and such? A few lines about the method/process and program used would be very much appreciated so I can teach myself, but a final result done the right way would be a great example for me to reverse engineer.

I used Qubicle, and the only export that I could get to properly display the texture was .dae I've attached a .zip of the model and texture here.

Thank you!

EDIT: Never mind! With some hard research and some even greater advice, I've figured it out!

i previously asked about this locomotive before, but i didnt have any time to focus on the project and now i am ready to do it again.

it would help a lot if the designer has knowledge of n scale locomotives.

the shell i would like to have designed is the p32ac-dm: http://subwaynut.com/amtrak/albany/albany28.jpg

this locomotive basically has the same shape as the p42 (made by kato: http://katousa.com/N/P42/index.html) but with many exterior differences.

i have a shell of a p42 ( http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7138/8165729794_bb26805072.jpg) that i can ship to the designer that would help greatly with the shells inside structure.

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a modeler to work on a prop from the old 1989 Batman movie.

This would need to be 1/1 scale and as accurate as possible, it also needs spliting into sections for optimal printing in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2.

I have attached a couple of pictures although I have many more, I also have a 1/6th scale model that will be useful for more detail and sizing.
I will stress again that accuracy is the most important requirement, I am in no rush to have this finished.

I am looking for quotes, please could you either PM me or email me at ( krispoppleton at yahoo.co.uk )

Thanks

Kris

I participate in this crazy fun sport of radio-controlled glider combat. These are 4-foot flying wings built around EPP foam cores, stiffened with carbon spars and tough-flexible skins. We dogfight these planes in ridge lift with everyone trying to put everyone else down. Collisions are often brutal and normally there is no damage. Here are the plans for the foam version. Be sure to watch the video near the end to see it in action.

These planes are annoying to build and maintain, and clearly 3D printing is the future of this sport. This should make them even faster and tougher and almost trivial to assemble. Someone needs to get this going so I'm willing to pay a modeler to create the first version which I will share with the world with the hope of attracting more people to the sport and finding others who will help to improve the design. I realize they will also cost a small fortune to print today but certainly prices will quickly fall, so I am prepared to incur these development costs as well.

This being a labor of love, I can't pay like a for-profit business can but I do want to pay enough to keep the designer happy. Of course it will help if you have an interest in flying and knowledge of the terms and trade offs involved in aircraft design. I strongly prefer someone in San Francisco or the SF Bay Area, or possibly a remote designer with the ability to screen-share and work closely together.

The specifications are nearly complete so it should be fairly straightforward. The one exception is the modelling of the skin which is also the main structural component. The complexity comes from the fact that the skin thickness must be heavy towards the front and thin towards the back in order to keep it from being tail-heavy. I've designed the inner and outer curves for both the root and tips of the wing. You will need to be able to extrude these inner and outer curves to produce the inner and outer surfaces of the skin which should produce the appropriate thicknesses at each point. If you can do this, you can probably handle modeling the component bays and other needed details.

There will also be opportunity for you to show off your ability to model beautiful compound curves. That is not a requirement for the first version but I am willing to pay you for those beautifying touches if that interests you. This is not a one-off project, so I am keen to find designers who know how to model in ways that others can most easily pick up and modify.

I have attached the skin curves in Adobe Illustrator format along with a rough overview diagram. Please let me know if you are interested. You can email me directly to melinda@superliminal.com. Thank you.

Hi all,

I'm working on a proposal for the expansion of an open pit mine in Papua New Guinea. We want to have a physical model of the expansion to present in June.

The model would be a fully textured block containing the existing pit and surrounding mountains/ocean, with twelve removable pieces representing each stage of the expansion.

We have all the pieces but they are far from being printable and need someone with the necessary skills to redesign and texture them for 3D printing - see attached images. The model would be about 700 x 500 x 200 mm.

If you have experience with similar projects and think you could help, please contact me ASAP. Someone who would be able to offer design and print services in one package would be great.

Looking for a designer to complete a part- done task, a Meridian 222 DEMU suitable for 1:148 (N) and 1:76 (OO) scales. The main coach bodies have been completed, the nose, roof, under detail frames and bogies need completion.

Currently, the main priority is to have the N scale model finished, with an OO scale model to follow after.

I would preferably like the windows to be a separate slot- in piece printed with a clear plastic.

Please feel free to contact me for more information, and quote a price and time scale to take on the project.

Please email me at tim@tsb-3d.co.uk

Below is an image of the nose of the unit.

Many thanks,
Tim

Hello Everyone

I am in need of sculptor for a revision project. Back in early 2014 I had two monster figures sculpted up for my upcoming 3D printed toy series called "The Chimera Men". After I received my 3d printer, I was able to print a few test models of the figures, but I noticed that the models are in need of some revision work.

At the moment my two monster figures are sculpted as one hollowed piece. Basically I need the limbs to be separated from the bodies and have peg joints and peg holes added to the parts. I would also need a new weapon re-sculpted and some re-sizing of certain detailed parts on one of the models. Just a special note on the peg joints for the limbs, the pegs will be non-moveable, just simple push in pegs is required. If anyone is interested in my revision project I can email you pictures detailing the revisions I would need.

I have a very limited budget for the revisions, mainly because I have spent so much money of the
original models already. I would prefer an over-all price quote for the project, instead of an hourly rate. I would need the revisions to be ready and finished by the third week in May 2015.

Here are links to the two monster figures in "The Chimera Men" series.

Hi there,

I recently purchased one of your "brain" charms/bead for european bracelets. I was hoping to order a few more of those charms, which fit pandora bracelets, if you are able to produce them. They would be:

-the Wall Street Bull charm,
-the symbol for Psychology charm,
-some symbol or the mascot of Montclair state university charm (I understand if you need license for this one).

A friend is graduating there, so these would be wonderful presents for her. Her graduation will be May 20th.
I look forward to your answer.

Hi,

I'm looking for professional 3D sculptors to work on a new range of 36mm WWII miniatures, the digital sculpts will be 3D printed to make the production masters.
The basic concept of the whole project is to do a WWII historical setting game but treated with all the glam and style of state of the art SF and Fantasy themed games. Accordingly the style of the sculpting work will be portraying some larger than life heroic character possessing extraordinary courage and bravery as well as side support characters which will introduce elements of variety and humour. The range characters will take inspiration from movies like Kelly's Heroes (1970) and Inglourious Basterds (2009). We don't want to do a very boring series of old school stiff historical miniatures, plenty of action and fun for all is guaranteed, but there will be no compromise on quality.
The initial series includes 12 miniatures with many more to follow. Sculptors need to have exceptional talent, dedication and attention to detail and the capacity to work within a schedule, follow directions and sometime even accept a little constructive criticism. Previous experience modelling for 3D printing and the ability to test print parts is obviously a big plus.
If you think this is something that may interest you and your team let me know and we can discuss it further... message me here or on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/baueda

Cheers,

Hi there, I'm looking for someone who is able to take all the little details seen in the textures of a model, and apply them to model itself, so it becomes a high detail model (ideal for 3d printing)

For example, here is the basic model: http://i.imgur.com/8TZ5Z11.png As you can see it's pretty simple.

This is the model with textures applied: http://i.imgur.com/cX6el1S.png

I want all the little grooves, raised surfaces, edges, details etc seen in the textures, such as here: http://i.imgur.com/5gdQZBa.png put onto the actual model, so it can be printed with all those details. (Not the paint/scuff marks though, those can just be painted on later)

In other words, I'd like the final model to look like this: http://i.imgur.com/ocXUX3U.png this: http://i.imgur.com/cX6el1S.png this: http://i.imgur.com/QRnFi.jpg or this: http://www.entertainmentearth.com/images/AUTOIMAGES/MF19311lg.jpg

The original shape of the model still has to stay the same though, just add the detail to it. I also have a few weapon models that would need similar treatment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know this isn't a 3D Job, but the talent I have come across on the forum is outstanding, I am sure someone will posess these skills.

I am looking for a designer to make me tenplates of some Movie ID Cards and some Novelty Driving Licenses.

Things like Austin Powers, James Bond, Batman etc.

Please PM me here or email me at custom_crafting@yahoo.co.uk for more details.

Thanks

Hello. Like anyone else in this part of the forums, I'm looking for a designer for a little project.

First think worth noting to anyone reading and interested, is that THERE IS a market for this idea. Transformers collectors abroad would love to get their hands on conversion kits that would result from this project. So if you're worried about money, there's some to be had here. I'm just hoping someone can make these so I can get a set of my own as a collector. Now, on to the project!

MATERIALS: I'm thinking any kind of plastic. Strong & Flexible seems to be the go-to material for other TF stuff on here, but I'd like all plastics and colors be available if possible. However, designers' experience in these matters is appreciated.

The short version:

I'm looking for someone who can take a look at these...

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/3rd-party-unlicense d-41/fansproject-ca-04-ca-05-not-insecticons-pre-order-up-an d-new-images-172468/

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/1/20110523_08_1308066058.jpg

...and make a conversion kit that will turn them into these...

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discuss ion/859511-fansproject-war-bugs.html

http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/9888/90135810151321509827484.jpg

More images and information on these can be found by searching for phrases like "Transformers FansProject Insecticons Warbugs". Also, more on FansProject can be found here...

http://www.wikialpha.org/wiki/FansProject

...and here...

https://www.facebook.com/pages/FansProject/108855295818799

The long version:

The first link is for a third party Transformers Insecticons product, produced by FansProject. Third party stuff caters to collectors with a little more money to spend on more highly detailed items. The second link is for a variant of these called "Warbugs", first hinted at in 2011-2012. As of 2015, the word around the internet is that these are no longer going to be produced and released, as FansProject are no longer interested in the Insecticons.

If one looks closely, the same basic mold is used for the main body, but several of the extremity pieces (which are easily detachable) are swapped out, changing their transformation altmodes from insectoid to cool looking vehicles. I am willing to supply as much reference material as needed that I can, such as pictures, measurements, scale reference (specifically, detailed images of the connecting pieces and how they work in order to make the conversion kit(s) fit right, and exact measurements so that these kits are scaled as near perfectly as possible).

If you are worried about discretion, we can work something out in private for the designs. If you don't care about discretion and are looking to make a buck, you don't need me for that. These kind of kits will make money on their own once Transformers collectors find out about them. One would simply need to post in the popular Transformers forums about such kits to pique curiosity and desire, and the rest will handle itself. Fans and collectors had mixed feelings about the third party Insecticons at first, but they highly desired the Warbugs variants, and people are feeling the loss that these will never be made.

I personally simply want to see these become available and make a purchase for my own collection, being that I'm a collector as well.

If anyone is interested in getting the FansProject Insecticons for this project, they can be found on eBay easily enough. Even if they are KOs (knock offs), those would serve well enough to make these conversion kits.

PLEASE NOTE: If anyone is interested in this project, I WILL NOT send my own collected figures to you. This may be the "make or break" for anyone interested in this. But let's be real here: I don't know you, you don't know me, I'd be practically asking to never get them back, and I'm not in the market to prove myself the fool. This reason is why I'm willing to supply anything else needed, such as detailed pictures and proper measurements. I've worked with a few shapies in the past via emails and messages on here, and some of these have worked out well with simple pics and measurements, with a good detailed product as a result. So I know better.

Hello! I am interested in creating fully custom transforming toys, but lack the resources and money, to buy/waste material in troubleshooting. I am looking to collaborate my ideas with a sufficiently talented 3D modeler.

At the moment I have about four or five good ideas, two of which are more or less perfected, sans the minor details. All of my designs are mostly mass shifting, with little to no 'fake parts'. If anyone is interested please let me know on the forums, or by personal email: Androidanchovy@gmail.com

Calling all Makers!

Be part of the first annual NJ Makers Day – a statewide celebration of Maker and DiY culture. The Morris Museum will be one of the 130+ host sites around New Jersey where Makers can demonstrate what interesting and innovative objects they make and how they make them. Show them, share them, talk about them! Makers make everything, from high-tech, to lo-tech, to no-tech. Robotics to traditional craft. Practical to whimsical. Prototype to finished product.

What the Morris Museum would provide would be a table for your set up, marketing and sponsorship of your products and brand.

If you are a Maker, send your information and proposal to kmeehan@morrismuseum.org. Selections will be finalized and notification of participation will be given March 13.

Hi,
We are looking for a very talented 3D Printing finisher who specialises in WSF and FUD models. We have a very large commission that requires expert help. Due to the location of the project I am only interested in European based people, ideally in Ireland, England (or UK) or Poland. This is a large commission requiring at least 5 weeks solid work so please get in touch via email (Adam@inner-leaf.com) with examples of your work (in both FUD and WSF) and cost estimates of your day rates. All works will requires the signing of an NDA with our company.

Project
We are building a block of models in a mixture of FUD (top) and WSF (bottom) that will fit together. Models range in size from 2.5m to 0.3m long. More info once NDA has been signed and suitable examples have been reviewed.

Hope to hear from you all soon

P.s If you are from another country inside Europe and have the skills we need then please feel free to get in touch, please note that a site visit by us and our client would be part of the commission to sign off the models prior to postage so please ensure you have the facilities to present the models once they are complete.

Hello!

I'm working on a comic and I'm looking for someone to make a 3D model of a 3 inch tall totem. I sketched it up and did some simple rotation, no quarter turns though i was hoping you would help with that. I have to sketch here. Its pretty simple and its suppose to look ancient and carved out of stone. Just do the best you can. This is only one of 10 that we will be designing together. so its a pretty steady gig lol. Please help! hit me up if your interested.

email me if you need more information on it.
