|Help with a jewelry component [message #101730] Sat, 25 October 2014 01:22 UTC
Ok, I'm just getting into this whole 3D thing and I'm already stuck. I know exactly what I want (and, actually, already have pieces that I've bought that I'm patterning it off of), and have the basic form set up in Photoshop (moved there from Tinker), but I'm having some issues and hoping someone might be willing to lend a hand. I don't really want to spend much money on this as it might be a one off, or might turn into something more. I am willing to trade jewelry for help if someone is interested (I work in chainmail jewelry)|
All it is is a flat ring with letters engraved in it. I've got the dimensions of the ring, exact thickness and width and all, but I don't know how to make the engraved letters. I don't really want it as a hole all the way through, I just want the letter set in just a little bit, maybe a tenth of a mm or so, maybe less?
I have pictures of the piece I currently have, I have pictures of what I want, I have exact measurements of what I'm looking for, but I just can't seem to get it all together.
