|Modeling a 3-piece pen for 3d printing, I already have CAD models and dimensions drawings [message #85917] Fri, 07 March 2014 06:22 UTC
I was going to go the CNC machining route, but decided 3d printing is less expensive and better. |
The pen is 3 pieces, but when I try to 3d print it on this site, only the body is large enough, not the cap or tip.
I want to make all 3 pieces big enough to print in a variety of materials, even steel.
The tip that screws onto the top of the pen needs to be slightly adjusted to fit the ink cartridge. I currently require a spring, I would rather not. My current drawings and models take into account the ink cartridge size.
I also want to add a simple etching or indentation on the outside of the pen cap.
Please let me know if you want to quote this job! Most of it is already done. Also, any advice is appreciated. I will attach a sample drawing.
