So I've been researching different materials and methods for finishing the black strong and flexible prints. I created a small box enclosure that I want to seal, prime, and then paint to a high gloss finish. From what I've come up with, it appears that the best method will be to:

1. Infiltrate the interior of the part with a low viscosity epoxy. This will strengthen the part as well as seal the pores of the nylon and create a barrier to keep primer from constantly soaking through to the other side.

2. Use a plastic primer such as that offer by Rustoleum on the exterior until the part is covered well.

3. Sand smooth.

4. Spray the part with something like a Duplicolor Acrylic lacquer.

5. Clear coat.

Anyone see any glaring issues with this method? Seems to cover all the bases unless I am completely overlooking something. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

You're wasting money with black probably.

That's a good point in regard to my future orders, but I still have to address these current parts. Same rules should apply to both WSF and the black parts I would assume.
