It's my first time uploading a 3d model on shapeways and i got this error message: Does anybody know how i can fix this? Thanks
Well I haven't see that one before That looks like an error on your side. Is that the location on your drive, and the right file name? What OS, and browser are you using?
Actually i contacted shapeways saying that i haven't been able to upload my model and they sent me back this error.. so this error happened on their computer.. I don't really know what that error means.. so i don't know how to fix my model.. for what it's worth, my model is basically a bunch of surfaces joined together afterwards. Could that be a problem?
Ah, ok, That explains the username Shapeways in the extension . It appears there is a space in the second number, making it invalid. You could open the obj in notepad, do a search for that line, delete the space, and save. Don't know if that will help you. By being a bunch of surfaces, are they enclosed? You may want to try opening in netfabb to repair the mesh if needed.
