First of all, a sound hello to all of you!  I just found the site recently and have already been having some fun designing a bookmark (take a look and tell me what you think  )
Anyway, I left space on the design for custom engraving. I was wondering if there is a way to set up the item in the shop to allow a customer to engrave (and have it done automatically in shape ways, as a creator type of interface or some such).

It can't be done automatically, but you can make a co-creator model and do the engraving manually. If you want to hack together something automatic you'll have to have some good programming skills and get comfy with the API.
