in the old layout it told you the volume of your model, is it still there somewhere? how do I find out the volume of my model?

It should appear between the dimensions and the allow download control, once you are in edit mode of the item. Yeah, extra mouse clicks, extra page loads and weird places to look at (allow buying and display to public are in a different place, near the materials, if you are going to ask next...). There is a thread about requests, if you find things non optimum, mention it there.
