Hello everyone!

I really want to start on a new project, which is making my own daft punk helmet, i want to start with a 3D model, so i can print it out for about 500$ and then make a mold, get it chromed, and then make some LED's and then get it vac formed. i want this model to be a 1:1 scale, meaning that it should have the same dimensions as the real ones - not quite sure about the dimensions, you might have to look into that. heres some pictures of the real helmets:

I need every single detail in the 3D model, thus the circuit board Decal ears. NOT INCLUDING THE CABLE HAIR

Hi,
I'd love to do this project! I'll have to do a little number crunching before hand, so no guarentees's, but it looks really cool! And of course Daft Punk rules! I'm assuming you want the Gold helmet rendered .

if it is 1:1 i not sure you can get it into your price point... but i would be interested in doin it too...

more pictures would be great... and also dimensions...

As a reference, Earlier this year I designed a 1:1 helmet at 4mm thick. The cost in Sandstone is $700, and $1,240 in WSF.

You may have trouble with distortion if its any thinner than that. Maybe print the mold directly?
