I am a qualified Industrial / Product Designer with over 20 years experience

I will be able to turn your ideas, not only into a 3D printed model, but if you require a production ready design. I have experience in Injection moulding, Die casting, Sheet metal, Machining, Tube Space frames etc etc. I can create 2D dimensioned drawings to back up the 3D CAD models.

My rate will vary according to your needs. Please allow me to give you a quote ..

I require a 50% deposit and balance after preview images but before releasing the 3D STL files on all my projects..

Hi there. The model is coming along well. Here are snapshots of the progress. This will help you see how the model is being made.
I will keep you up to speed as I near completion.

Best,

John

At the risk of now having to share Don's creative and technical talents with others who may wish to want to hire him now, I must come clean and say that he is hands down one of the most talented and efficient modelers I have everworked with. I worked at Warner Bros, Disney, Digital Domain for some 10 years on several movies, and Don's modeling skills and professionalism are up there with the best. Beyond his ability to build complex structures quickly, he is an honest person who insists that clients don't pay him for every little small tweak. I am proud to call him my friend and I hope he realizes that his low cost feeds are helping tens if not hundreds of artists, tinkerers, and entrepreneurs create.

I have no reservations in recommending Donovan: a customer's comments say it all:-

"When the models first arrived I primed them with U-Pol #8 Acid etch primer. This showed the finish quality of
the model. Totally outstanding. The detail is stunning: better than most brass or white metal kits. Only the top
notch brass kits with lost wax castings could surpass this model." - Member, Scalefour Society.

I have 6 .max files which I would like to get made from ceramics, at just under the maximum size that will fit in their prescribed bouding box 340x240x170mm AND x+y+z<=400mm.

An example of the file is attached

Could you give an idea of cost to get the models ready for printing?

Cheers
Sam

Donovan,

Per your email we are looking for a 2D/3D drawing on the scoop we are looking to make. This is a base drawing I did. The scoop will have a hinged plastic lid with a interior ride to close securely. The handle is hollow so that powers (protein/baby formula) can be poured in to a standard water bottle. the end of the handle will need a lip to securely fit on the top of a water bottle to prevent spills.

Let me know what questions you have so that we can have you design a sleek design thats functional. Once you know the time let us know the cost to develop out and terms.

BEst,

Jim

A slope on the base, or a funnel effect into the handle would appear to be a good idea.
In 3d the volume of the scoop can calculated for it to be retained.

Hello,

I am interested in recreating the Unica Key from the film "Notorious" directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Attached is a photo.

Please let know if you are interested in this project.

Hi Christine,

Yes. I am interested. Here are a few questions.

1) Would you like be to model the key based on standard key sizes?
2) Would you like the Unica Text and Key Design to be extruded, or inlayed into the key?
3) My rate for this project would be $100 with 50% before and after completion.OK?

Hi Aquafit

In order to get a quote you need supply as much info as possible.

Sketches with basic dimensions are great, but the intended purpose of the part also helps me to formulate a quote, Be it for a simple 3D printed one off object, or the prototype for a mass produced consumer product.

Hi Donno, how are you?

I'm wondering, how much do you charge to hollow and check models for 3d printing?

I have a few character sculpts that I need 3d printed, however I am getting back a "shapeways cannot print this, check for thin walls" error.

How much would you charge per character to fix errors and make them printable, and how long would it take you?

Best,
John

Hi there

I am an eyewear designer but I have no knowledge of 3D modeling required for using 3D print.

I am looking for someone like you to work with to develop a few eyewear models to test out 3D printing.

I can provide you with either

Designs in corel draw

or

Designs in CAD

Would this be helpful ? And can you give me a rough estimate on your fees.

Please see attachment for an example of what I can provide.

I look forward to hearing from you.

My email is tcatdesign@gmail.com

Tom

Good morning, I am the Bridge Director for the Pharr International Bridge. This is a heavily used commercial bridge that borders with Mexico. We have plenty of political events that we have to attend on the USA and on the Mexican side. One gift I would love to provide to our dignitaries would be a replica of our international bridge. I am having a hard time getting someone to properly create a nice looking replica, can you assist me? Our bridge is a 3 mile long bridge but don't need the replica to be long at all. What I am looking for is a replica of our bridge inspection area, a small bridge road, and then the Mexican inspection area. I can send you a picture of the inspection areas if it is possible to do the replica. Also, if it is possible, please inform me on the cost of doing so.

Thank you,

Hi there,

I am interested in creating silicon moulds for casting products made from cement. I have a number of drawings / art I want to take from drawing to moulds ready for production. The size of each mould would roughly be 30cm across and 2.5cm deep (circular shape). Can you let me know if this can be done and roughly how much it would cost to create the mould and what product it can be made from - does it have to be silicon?

Hi,

I am looking for someone to help design and fabricate a tool that will help fill multiple beverage bottles at once. My vision is something that has an upper tray that holds the product (liquid) and a bottom tray that holds the individual bottles in place. We would pour liquid into the upper tray, which would have funnels that fit inside the mouths of each bottle, so that the liquid would flow into every bottle. Ideally the upper tray/funnels could be fashioned to facilitate equal flow into every bottle, but that may be challenging (I haven't thought of how) and is not a requirement.

This should greatly speed up our current bottle-filling process, which is filling bottle-by-bottle through a spigot.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts / could do this. I will provide specs for the bottles of course.

Thanks,
Jenny
