i wonder, is it possible to indicate that i want my 3d pront to be hollow?, in order to save matieral and make a cheapr but pigger model, this probably has been discussed before, so id apprecciate any links to the proper places. thanks Enrique
Hi Enrique, Welcome to Shapeways! You'll need to hollow the model yourself whilst paying attention to the wall thickness for the material you want your model printed in. Here's a pretty straightforward tutorial that uses Meshlab's Uniform Mesh Resampling filter. If you get really stuck, you can put a shout out in 3D Modeller Needed or find a 3D Modeller for Hire Paul
itd be really helpful to manage it in 3ds max since its the software i use, i assume is more complicated than just adding an inside geometry . or maybe not, i will give it a try, thanks!
