    Hi all,

i've got a high poly model ready to be printed, but i've got some problems fixing and uploading the model.

    Magics says this:

The 2 shells is cause it contains 2 shells. (edit: i mean 2 objects)

When i try to fix those overlappings and intersectings my model got really destroyed by some sort of stitching:

And this is what the details look like:

Now when i try to upload the file and hope that Mesh Medic fixes the problem (or not)

    I get an email:
"Unfortunately, we were not able to process and thus print your product. The error message was:
Our Mesh Medic could not fix/unify your product in time."

Does anyone know how to solve this problem and upload my file without problems, and keep the details on it?

    Please help me!

Did you try to fix your model with Netfabb basic ?

Just a little scratchbuilder thought: the integrated guard rail will complicate a lot the painting ...

Where is the intersection? From what I see you should be able to delete and trim faces to make the 2 into 1.

All i know, is when i use the fix button to fix those 2 things,, you get the same result as the screenshot where all details are gone!

but i think i've got it now!
uploaded it with a OBJ file,, and got trough!

with some minor stitches, but thats no big deal!

So screw the STL files,, and long live the OBJ files!

If only my main software had OBJ import or export. Been requesting that for forever.
