Is the size printable?

  1. Hi,

    I create a model with the size of x: 390mm, y: 390mm and z: 390mm.
I want to print it in stainless steel. While the discription indicates the max bounding box is 762mm x 393mm x 393mm for stainless steel, the auto checks fail in bounding box item. The information is attached.

Could anybody please kindly tell me why it does not work and how can I fix the problem?

    Many thanks!

This is coming in as two disconnected parts, and the second one is showing as too tall.

Also this will not work in steel, or probably any material, because it is much too thin and fragile. You'll need to make it much more robust to print it.

  3. Yes! The model is disconnected! Thank you!

I used Abaqus to analyse it. As for stress and displacement, it seems good. But maybe you are right. In the real world, it is too fragile. I will make it in other midensions.

    Thank you for your help!
