I've been recreating game consoles at 1:5 scale for years, GBC being among them. I doubt metal is the way to go, unless it is the expensive aluminum (not able to be anodized from what I have read, requires pretty thick design), even then you may need snap fits. The printed metal products are a bit rough and if handled a lot they will get funky, even a small part puts a stank on your hands pretty quick and will begin to oxidize. Painted FUD is probably the best choice, and it will flex some. -S
