Inspiration from disney's old alice in wonderland.

I don't know about Alice in Wonderland, but your birds remind me of a children's book I had (not Alice), although I only vaguely remember its wonderful illustrations. Very charming!

Toon Birds are dead on to Disney's Alice. My kid watches it over and over... I'm an expert, those are Wonderful!

Um, those cartoon birds are copyrighted material. The story, Alice in Wonderland, might be public domain, but Disney's renditions of those characters are still very much copyrighted and owned by Disney.

Therefore, you can not sell them.

Ah, I just found pictures of them online! Nice renditions of the Alice birds.

I would be careful about selling Disney IP too. They are pretty vigilant about things like that.

    Thanks all :)

Yeah i was already afraid of that, i'm doing some small research on the matter as i know some peeps inside who can tell me all about it.

I was thinking of making different versions of it as well, so as to not have them connected to Disney in any way. Will keep this updated :)

Well since you make those so well, you could easily make, say a bird with a left handed monkey wrench head or something. Then you would have your own and it would be legally and morally artistic, and yet still inspired by Disney as many have been! :)

Seems Disney does the same as most companies. It keeps extending the copyright under corporate ownership on all their designs. There are some gray areas about added news content and social critique and art etc. But these models don't fall under that of course.

So yeah, mildly inspired derivations it is :) it's a ton of fun to make these, but to come up with good subjects is difficult.

Whystler, that's a nice idea, i hope you don't mind me making it?

Any ideas for other toonbirds that you guys would like to see?
