Automated shapeways screensavers showing timed buildup of model for each order?

I am very grateful for shapeways building my 3d space warships and dreadnaughts, I would recommend that you build and automated 3d screensaver showing an analogy of how you make the mesh into a 3d print to entertain people with the "JCPenney effect" - "Open, Open, Open....." This would avoid me looking online and be for sale after and be trialware and able to be downloaded. How do you do with this idea?

Because of the technology involved, the Shapeways printers are rather boring to watch.

Look at time 1:25-2:25 and 3:35-4:35 of this video.

With home printing (FDM) you get a more interesting time-lapse view because you can see the model "growing". However, with the more expensive (finer resolution) SLS printers, you only get to see one single layer at a time... it's not very interesting to watch.

It might be more interesting if you created your own video your own video.

Or, invest $1m in this system https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM4tbYNv6KU <grin>

Well then, it doesn't have to follow the 3D printing process, it can just build the model based on growing the faces and moving it around 360 from all angles, that would be something worth getting.

    NightmareHero,

A small technicality, but I believe the JCPenney effect you mentioned is actually the Mervyn's effect. Based on the now defunct brand's annoying but catchy adds from previous decades. Whatever it is, I have it too, ha ha!
