  1. Hello

The eye position is wrong. Google: "Derpy Hooves" (btw. "Muffins"? ye may some merchandise... still kinda wrong to me)
The eye color it self is just hit great (in fact best of all versions)... but sorry its messed up. To bad. The rest looks so good!

Eyes are "right" position... but wrong color. Deep orange? (its almost red isn't it?)
Once again... most important detail blown out of the window.

This is another version of the same pony (wings retracted)

The only thing bothering me here is: the lack of a full frontal photo. (the 3D version has an rly stupid shadow effect btw^^)
I think i made my case clear - facial expressions are important to ppl. that buy those figurines.
and if i cant see them - i cant say i like them...

But lets put a little more focus on the "photos" in general.

why so dark? did the flash not trigger? for a second i thought its might because of some "glow ink" but no... doesn't look like that...
So okay let me get this straigh: you model those on pc... your print those... you put them carefully for a shooting from your "standard angles"...
and leave the picture half dark? .... (my room has electric light... just saying!)

If i did count half decent, 12 of 29 figures just got 1 photo. Once again. [NO: i don't use a 3D simulation to judge it! not good enough]
Im on this website to buy figurines with good grade of detail. If i cant see those for real... well i close the tab and its (browser)history.

    You notice a pattern here?

I'm just a little afraid of a "flood" of figurines, which are flawed or ... really good - but you cant even see that they are!
I really cant say what would be worse for us / you ! ..... but in both cases = there wont be any deal.

Lets compare this to my "Rarity" figurine
    https://www.shapeways.com/model/2682184/mane-six-3-rarity.ht ml?li=productGroup&materialId=26
Many photos. Close ups. Good light and so on...
The details all looked right (color, pose, couch, etc....) so i said "YES!" ... and left a lot of money here.

Isn't that what figurines are all about? Everyone gets happy?

If you now say "thats a little nip picky" well... than why don't you tell me what you want from such a site?
    A) Quality and the ability to judge it.
    B) Something which is half decent and barely can be seen.

If you are here for B) ... please don't talk to me ;)

  2. I'll add that I'm surprised by the amount of good consistent photos featured on the MLP store front. I'm not sure how this was done. Did Hasbro order all those prints to photograph? It definitely gives the store a professional looking homepage, which was probably their goal. Though, they probably can't do it for every design.

Since October 2014, communication has been poor between SFA artists, Shapeways and Hasbro. Luckily Dan at Shapeways, project manager for SFA, has started reaching out to the community. He's also attempting to work with Hasbro to improve SFA and make it more pleasant for everyone.

As for accuracy and design choices, I don't think Hasbro can police that, customer will have to vote with their dollar.

Photos: It's likely not profitable to print every design they upload. But yes, sales will probably be lost without quality photos of a real print. Though, who knows, this could become a requirement for SFA prints to force quality over quantity,
