Need modeler to fix full color full body scans made with Skanect

Discussion in '3D Design Requests' started by 539546_deleted, Oct 28, 2014.

  1. I am using Skanect and an automated rig and turntable to scan people and create full body selfies in color.

I need to have somebody that can fix the scans in a timely an inexpensive matter. It does not have to be perfect and the files are coming really good from the rig anyway.

It just needs some filling holes and smoothing and maybe some color adjustments.

I have downloaded Blender to do this but I don't have the time to learn it.

Please let me know how you can help.

    Thank you.

if on a PC, try using Autodesk MeshMixer. It's a free download.

In Skanect, under the process tab, click on External Edit, then "View mesh in Explorer"

Open up that edit_me.ply file and use the brush named bubble smooth to fill in the chin/etc. sometimes shink smooth. bascally a few of the tools can help fix about any scan.

When finished, hit export and save over the edit_me.ply file

Go back to skanect and hit External Edit again, but this time, "Reload edited mesh from disk"
Colorize it again, and viola, a fixed model for export.
