Question for you.... When you uploaded the file for color.... Did the preview show you your color right away? Or did it take time for the color to appear? I just uploaded a DAE file with a Jpg, Zipped, and it is showing my color completely grey. I just thought I'd ask. I wonder if I am worrying for nothing or what I must have done wrong (if it is supposed to show right away).
Hi Darkseal, for me the color does show right away. I upload a .wrl with a .jpg zipped. Does any colour show on the preview render if you select a Multicolor material for sale? Maybe you could try an .obj and .jpg zipped. If that doesn't work I'd try contacting support- I'm sure they can help.
I got it now... it looks like I didn't connect the texture file before exporting it as a Dae. I didn't know it needed to be "connected" internally inside the file. I just thought it would simply apply the texture supplied. But, now that i attached it before export it's all set! Thank you for the reply!
Thanks stannum, you're right. I've found some more info about it https://www.shapeways.com/tutorials/exporting_to_vrml_and_x3d _for_color_printing I've always used .wrl here. It's a shame .obj isn't supported though.
