Am I correct that STL files are the format to convert CAD files into for 3D printing and is it a complex process in the conversion? what logical steps must one take? Cheers Marty
Yes, STL should work. Note that you may find additional options governing the quality of the mesh in the export dialog of SolidWorks. (STL is a discrete triangle mesh, while SW probably uses an analytical description of the objects internally)
