Daisy Pendant - gift for baby cousin.

So this is my story...

We had some cousins from the UK stay with us for a month (with an 8 month old baby girl), we are from Australia.

She was a gorgeous little girl and I decided that I wanted to make her something to remember us by.

So I designed this pendant with all the elements having a specific meaning:

Flower: Daisy, because that is her name.
Petals: 8, because she was born in August.
Crystal: Peridot, because that is her birthstone (I did also purchase a peridot gem but my youngest son found it and hid it somewhere, so I had to use the crystal).

At the moment she would not be able to wear it because she is too small, but its nice to think that this is something she could keep for a long time and hopefully use even as an adult.

Did you do anything special to make sure the gemstone would set right? I'm working on a product that I want to set a sapphire into, and I would like to know how you did yours.
